Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. ABOUT:

Naturally anxious, maybe a bit weepy, Emporio is a kid who grew up in the Florida equivalent of Gotham's prison asylum. I keep his canon details vague because there's still folks who'd like to not be spoiled on the biggest thing ever, but in terms of Emporio himself? He's smart, REALLY smart, and honestly has a heart of gold in there.

He's also unfortunately often the adult in any situation, and it's really weird being acknowledged as a kid for realsies.

PLANS:

QUESTS! QUESTS!! Emporio's getting a bit more confident in his abilities and capabilities, which means he's gonna be doing a lot of these small quests. In particular, I'd love to form a team to do some combat! Alas, both rescues take place near the ocean, and he's not quite ready for uh. That level of water exposure.

Beyond quests though, and beyond whatever the TDM has in store, I'm mostly excited to have Emporio build his CR ties some. Talk to folks more, actually develop hobbies that aren't 'reading' and 'throw ball'.

Come to think, he doesn't even have a ball. TRAGIC!

Firepaw was originally a housecat, who wandered into the forest to join a feral colony called ThunderClan. He lived with them for two months before ending up in Bottlecap Bay, where he's very quickly been assimilating into thinking of himself as a Pokemon. Personality-wise Firepaw is an overachiever with an intense "no one will help if I don't" complex that has only started getting better after spending time around all the other overachievers in game. He's friendly and loyal to a fault, frequently fails to pick up on bad intentions from others, and canonically will get himself killed multiple times protecting those who need it.

PLANS:

Firepaw has rested, and he's ready to help out on quests again! He's also going to be working more diligently on training, since his last two heavy quests went pretty terribly for him, and he feels especially responsible for not being able to protect his teammates in the Northern Forest. But this time, he's taking the initiative and resting between training sessions, so folks will see him sunbathing / lounging around town a lot more often.

In terms of interpersonal plans, Firepaw is going to be checking in on everyone who did exploration quests to make sure they're doing okay (which can be handwaved), and also checking in on anyone he knows is friends with A.B.A, since she is now comatose. He's also gonna be around, as always, to give tips on scent-tracking, walking, fighting and anything else folks might need, and come along for quests if anything needs backup.

Welcome to protagonist town, on your left we have Ren Amamiya, dumb idiot who keeps all his problems to himself while breaking his back to help others... oops! He's the (former) leader of the Phantom Thieves, a vigilante group who stood up to those who couldn't (or wouldn't) be punished by the regular justice system. He's got a very strong moral compass that may err a little on the grey side. He also probably doesn't worry enough about his own health, as stated above. He can appear very nice and respectful to authority... but at the same time, his morals won't let him just stand by and watch if he feels there is something going wrong, or authority being abused.

Also, he's rather reckless, when it comes down to it. Showy, sarcastic and reckless. He blends into the background as easily as he comes to the foreground when he wants it. All in all, he can wear many masks, and adjust himself/his behavior depending on who he's talking to, and what he wants.

Thanks to the nightmares, he currently has a gnarly forehead scar, as well as chronic pain that he's still not quite used to. He may be a bit more... clumsy, than usual.

Also, gay crush on Akechi. Lol. Lmao.

PLANS:

Due his faillure in Northern Forest, he's double as determined to make up for it, and do as many quests as his little kitty body will allow! Someone stop this guy, he's gonna injure himself...

Team up with him! Try to talk some sense into him! Keep an eye on him under the guise of doing a quest together! Whichever you prefer, I'm open to all of these.

He's also concerned for A.B.A... the sudden coma was... somewhat of a wake-up call, let's say. he may be a little bit concerned for himself... which just means he's masking even more.

Current plans for sure:

Drak Lost: Together with Akechi and Firepaw! He considers Purrloin and her family friends, and there's no way he's not helping out a friend! ... There's the slight issue of Firepaw being a fire type, though... but that won't stop Ren!

copypastes from previous ooc posts Weird battle-happy Zoroark thing of the Oran Berries, not that there's a shortage of battle fanatics there, now as of late sometimes showing up more drenched than usual but anyway. Always Smiling. That brother that Ingo keeps mentioning? The guy who would know what IVs and EVs are. He's relatively friendly, cheerful and enthusiastic if a bit too direct sometimes, and can be one of the adults in the room if you need him to be? If you talk for him for too long the train metaphors are inevitable. Any messy personal feelings can't catch him if he works harder and keeps more active, because apparently we have a problem with those sorts here.

He's also a Battle Facility Head from the modern day of Pokemon New York so if you're still having trouble wrapping your head around the Pokemon thing he can try to help bridge the gap? Or I dunno, maybe they can just go "man I miss [insert some city life amenity here]" together.

PLANS:

Quests, quests, more quests, as you do. I, personally, want to throw him at everything because the rescues being in the ocean are icly an opportunity to overtake Ingo in points but maybe more helpfully, Emmet's done a rescue out in the ocean/along the coast before and he's been frequenting it/the nooks and crannies along it (along with specific, inaccessible via non-underwater routes caves) over the last month, so I'd like for him to do at least one of rescues! Them currents be strong out there and you will probably have to go swimming through them if last time was any indicator.

Other than the continued saga of "weird dog with zoomies has to always be doing something or else the zoomies win", though, I also just want to hit up people for/continue developing CR! He may or may not be a little concerned about A.B.A and some of the rest of them by proxy due to how drop mechanics work but it's,,, fine,,, probably,,, There are certain interpersonal feelings and worries he's not touching willingly unless it's dragged out of him, why not just shove all that energy into either work or play (training. battling. it's training) instead?

If you want to either handwave or thread out training with Emmet I'm always game, and he's always up for a battle, just let me know! ... well, 99% of the time he's up for a battle, actually. But he likes seeing fun new combinations of things and seeing people get better and be more challenging because it's more fun if they are, but not if they're driving themselves into the ground shhhh, do as he says and not as he does.

Firoza is my Warrior of Light from the critically acclaimed MMORPG etc etc, you know the meme. She's just finished up her cool summer vacation adventure in Dawntrail, so we're kind of on a renewing, healing sort of energy with our travels here. She's used to being a Paladin, aka a tank with some serious defensive capabilities, so becoming a tiny poisonous baby is...weird! Now instead of wanting everything to only hit her, she can't let anyone hit her! Her hobbies include weaving/sewing, enjoying some excellent bread, learning about new sword things, and helping people whosoever they might be. Even if they need you to collect or transport poop.

Final Fantasy XIV sure is a game.

Since a whole lot went on during last month's big quest, Firoza has a greater drive now more than ever not just to get stronger, but to evolve. She'll still be making time to do quests and practice her weaving/sewing, but a lot more spare time will be spend trying to learn about evolution, what she needs to do, and building up her strength to get there. Time to do some grinding...shame we don't have the Duty Roulette...

PLANS:

Like I said - let's get those levels! Any opportunity to train is welcome. I also am thinking her skills with a needle and thread will be recovered enough to start to produce satchels for Pokemon - to that end, she's going to be looking to obtain some source of materials that won't inhibit Bottlecap Bay's needs. Can't beg Bug Pokemon to make silk for you all the time. Maybe there's some worth in checking out plant fibers? Who knows. The April exploring revelations are kind of weighing on her mind, though.

For quests - I'd love to do Paved Roads, Wooden it be Nice, and Pop Goes the Weasel! If anyone needs someone to come with them on any of these, I'm your customizable JRPG hero!

And just, in general, I love friends for Firoza. I love her interacting with others. She loves to learn new things. Let's have a chill time and be friends.

ABOUT:

Shoka is a snarky, rough-around-the-edges teen whose hobbies include mobile games, fashion, and pissing people off. In her world, Shoka was a Reaper in the Reaper's Game, a game for the recently deceased that offers players a chance at coming back to life. Now, she is the world's tiniest eldritch horror with a love for battling and a sewing hobby. Those willing to accept her spicy outer layer may find that she's actually a loyal friend and secretly cringe but you didn't hear it from me.

PLANS:

This will be a bit of a mixed month for Shoka... After experiencing the Forest's Heart in her exploration quest and seeing her current ranking in her guild, she'll be starting to feel like maybe she has a knack for the whole Pokémon thing. She has a few maybe-friends, a new hobby, an increasing reputation... Maybe she really can be alive and enjoy herself a little!

... Aaand then she'll discover that her maybe-friend A.B.A is suddenly in a freak coma, which will have her distraught, though she'll be trying not to show it. If you catch her sleeping especially poorly and maybe sleep-cuddling fellow Oran Berries in the night because she might have gotten used to A.B.A treating her like a plush doll...no you didn't. :(

She might be even more prickly than usual but also trying to pick up some quests just to take her mind off of things. Pop Goos the Weasel is the main one on my list because her favorite way to distract herself is by beating people up LMAO but I'm also eyeing Cry for Help (baby wants a new accessory) and Scattered Bug (Shoka kind of likes the Northern Forest now in a super-not-weird way [okay, maybe it's kind of weird]). Also down for resource quests!

ABOUT:

Shortly before he became a Pokémon Conrad was made into a vampire and he may have been the world's worst undead blood sucker. He couldn't view people as food and all his anxieties and insecurities kept him from reaching his full potential as a creature of the night.

Even after he got all vampiric he still clung to his humanity and was pretty much the same as ever. Conrad may come off as a grouch, but it's not hard to see past all his blustering and get that he's actually quite the softie. He likes to pretend he's not a pushover, but he's all bark and no bite. Well, mostly. He can be hot-headed and he's not afraid to punch someone for being a jerk. And he does have baggage and some hang-ups he should really try to work on. Also, he's an artist, a snappy dresser, a romantic at heart, a bit of a stick in the mud, and a neat freak.

Now he quite dislikes being a Jigglypuff and will gripe about his squishy, round body as much as possible. He's slowly learning how to handle himself as a Pokémon, but he still struggles just getting by.

PLANS:

I hope to get Conrad socializing more. I kind of dropped the ball on getting him involved in a whole lot last month, so I will try to do better. He could definitely use more close friendships.

Also I was thinking since he is all about art maybe he could learn how to draw as a Jigglypuff. He'll be terrible at first as he doesn't have proper hands, but he could use some subjects to practice on, probably.

Conrad isn't going to be useful for some of these quests, but it would be fun to send him out to sea. He can't sink, rather he'll float around like a beach ball on the waves. And he could help with fighting off the attacking Pokémon. He's getting better at smacking 'mons around when they get to be too much.

I've been completely out of the loop on what's been going on, so please fill me in! It's really funny to me that both of my characters in games right now got trapped in nightmare comas in April LMAO so if we have any thoughts about what his existing CR has been up to/has thought of this I'm so down to talk shop.

I want to focus on CR-building and getting Dark Heart out there more. He's having a weird time coping with the idea of people being nice to him for no reason and I want to lean in to that! ABOUT:

After his second, more permanent defeat post attempted-apocalypse, RS is mostly twiddling his nonexistent thumbs these days. He's still kinda worried about the damned souls he used to be sealed to that Just Aren't There Anymore (long story, tldr he and they got purified, went better for them than him but he doesn't know that), but he's started to lean more on the notion that they're totally here they've just missed each other so far.

He himself is a gremlin who thinks he doesn't care about anyone and then against his will without noticing gets Attached to people anyway. He does not have an actual name. He used to stab his favorite person on a semi-regular basis and then got offended when said person finally opted to stop retrieving the cursed amulet RS resided in.

PLANS:

Last month I hiatused so just wasn't really around, lol. RS went on a couple lowkey missions and sparred a bit offscreen... He's been trying to do just enough quests that he doesn't seem like dead weight on his guild, but he might have to up his game a bit soon.

Sometimes you're just a little guy who gets stuck in a time loop for years and... never actually breaks out of it until you get dumped into Pokemon land. Which you didn't remember last month thanks to weird fog, but now you do. /presses F to pay respects

Siffrin tries to present themself as friendly, helpful, and a funny jokes guy, which they're... going to be struggling with more this month. It'll be fine, everything's fine. Underneath they're very lonely and will be ready to die for you if you give them positive attention for, like, a day.

Strongly recommending checking my permissions/opt out HERE to make sure there's nothing you want to opt out of, including spoilers! Otherwise: for canon point reasons, I'm sticking to they/them pronouns for them myself, but he/him is also fine.

PLANS:

SO.... last month's exploration was. A lot. Getting visions of the future is remarkably similar to time looping, as it turns out! Enough to let Sif get back... stares at smudged writing on hand... half? No that can't be right, clearly they have all their memories back now. Definitely. Hmm.

This month, Sif is going to have credible reasons to believe that ending up in Bopbay was their fault, and that they basically chose to ditch their friends and abandon a country to being doomed, because they Couldn't Handle It. They... will not be coping well!

I'm planning on them being more or less nonexistent in the first half of May, then popping up sometime mid-May to ask a cryptic question on the network. And after that they will fake being cheerful and toss themself into quests/whatever's going on in the TDM. But perhaps in a very self-destructive fashion, as a treat! :)

Looking for: quests in the second half of the month! People okay with Sif being kind of disconcertingly intense about it! That's really kind of it, otherwise I'm planning to play this month by ear. Though if anyone wants to try to track down a sad wet cat in the first half of the month, or even handwave it, I won't say no. (We can decide where they're hiding out based on whatever we think is most interesting/funniest!) Just. Good luck getting anything out of them, they're allergic to talking.

[He would] have the stats that would normally make up a strong, well-rounded leader. However, his social skills are so lacking that it basically negates his other strengths... Which is to say, this boy ain't right! He has no social graces, is a little too stoked to be here, and tends to unnerve most people even back home. He is now a monster-obsessed-turned-Pokémon-fanatic, and he will be excited to try all the food Bottlecap Bay has to offer. Yes, that means everything. Wait, hold on, please don't go yet—

Laios has always struggled to fit in, but despite his experiences (or more likely because of them), he's far more kind and accepting than most would give him credit for. He may not know how to show it correctly, but he genuinely means well, and holds every friendship he does manage to make very close to his heart. Even as a dungeon party leader, he's both resourceful with his knowledge and mindful of his teammates' capabilities, especially when it comes to their well-being. Taking care of yourself is not a joke! He will not be tolerating everyone going gung-hu nonstop around here!

Also. He has an impressive dog impersonation. He's very excited to show it off as an actual dog. Why wouldn't you want to be his friend because he's still an absolute weirdo, that's why.

PLANS:

I HAVE TO LAUGH at Laios being DEAD LAST in the rankings cause he truly does not GAF!! sobs he was just too busy sniffing around everywhere but the forest and you know he got an earful from Ribombee for it. Enough doggy playtime; it's time to get serious and pull his weight. So, heavy emphasis on questing this month. Will be tossing him everywhere and anywhere so if you need a guard dog and/or sight hound in your group, he's your guy!

Also, he may not have known A.B.A as well as others, but he will be pretty upset at what happened to her :(( Who will he go Klefki-searching with now... Expect him to be pretty torn about it. Another reason for him to be more serious this time around...

A Floridian who got arrested for chopping up his previous gf and the guy she was cheating with. But that's okay because he met the love of his life in prison and will do anything to protect her. Anasui may do horrific things but he is genuinely a good person deep down if you get past his unsettling behaviours. Or his weird ones. He may be a tough nut to crack but he'll give his life for you once you earn his trust and/or respect.

Also pay no attention to the roads behind him that have been torn up. He's studying something ;D

PLANS:

Part of why I wanted to bring Anasui to Bottlecap Bay is that Anasui wants to actively be a better person, despite being an asshole. I want Anasui to make new friends! He's already made a good start but for the most part he sees them little more than prison inmates (which can be a good or bad thing depending on your perspective). That being said, I'm also happy to do more antagonistic CR too! Just get Anasui out of his comfort zone.

Strengthening CR bonds or making new ones would be awesome this month!

You know him, you probably at least tolerate him, he's Courier Six. He's the best Courier the world knows. But he's a dork, ignorant of a lot of the world, but super focused on doing his best. He's hard, having seen the worst of people, but also the best. Cool friend! Don't mind the trauma. Also An Adult (tm).

PLANS:

So! After his exploration with Firoza and Guilmon, he is doing horribly. Part of his own trauma, back home, is destroying a settlement after all, leaving it to be buried and forgotten. So he's begun to have a mental health crisis. He keeps having memories of Ulysses, his homoerotic rival in his head, berating him for not having found out about places that existed, the history of this land. So he's trying to handle that! Like, he's pretending it doesn't bother him. And spending a lot of time in Lum, studying, trying to find what he can. He can be dragged along on missions, though! I feel he'd easily be pulled along for Paved Roads, telling people stories of roads back home, how they've been modified over the years. He likely doesn't want to do combat, though. A familiar tiredness has begun to return to him.

(Also the other thing he's learned is that he's still Very Sick, so. Uh. He just needs a rest month!

As a note for his sickness, it won't progress or be infectious to people. That's Not How It works. it's more a horrific toxin that left marks in his body :3)

Ingo is a Pokemon trainer from ye olde Meiji-era Sinnoh (formerly from New York City lmao), so he's always happy to help other characters with Pokemon stuff! He keeps himself busy doing missions, for the most part, and sort of trying to deal with the implications of his memory loss now that he's actually met his brother Emmet again.

PLANS:

Ingo had sort of a weird and bad experience in his heavy forest quest last month, so he may take it a little easier this month! Of course, he's still going out on some missions: I'm interested in Clay Clamber, Scattered Bug, and Pop Goos the Weasel! Being a fire-type, he doesn't want to go out on any of these ocean quests! He might be willing to go along the coast to look for Tangela, depending on how wet things might get.
