IC Hobby Clubs
Because our characters are mostly hobbyless losers who spend all their time working, a few Pokemon have come together to launch a new system of hobby clubs! Notice about the new clubs is posted on bulletin boards, around cafes, guild common areas, etc.
As it turns out, a Pokemon called Togetic has decided to spearhead the new club system! It makes them sad that too many people don't have enough fun in their lives, especially during these cold Winter months.
The proposed clubs so far are:
🪡 Crafting Club: Gather in a cozy place, spin a yarn, and work on your crafts!
🌱 Gardening Club: Get dirt under your nails and you might reap a great harvest!
⚾ Sports Club: Whether it's baseball, kickball, running, or anything else active, this club is all about it!
🍽️ Cooking & Baking Club: Make delicious creations and share them with others!
🌌 Stargazing Club*: Astronomers and those who just like gazing up at the night sky are welcome!
🎶 Music Club: Singing, finding out how to play instruments in our new bodies, funny noises... make music with friends!
*When asked about telescopes, the mods responded: telescopes are available, though not as powerful as modern ones. Additionally, they said: "For Bottlecap Bay in particular, there is just one available: the Archive Telescope is incredibly impressive, manned from a uniquely constructed ground entry room by (Alolan) Exeggutor and Steelix. Both of these Pokemon are unfortunately astoundingly tall (or at least long) however, so other Pokemon will need to get a little creative to use it! (Or figure out how to obtain their own telescopes.)
How to Use This Post
I wanted to make this post to coordinate since not everyone is on Plurk or Discord. I thought this was a really fun idea and would give more CR opportunities outside of quests!
Feel free to post below about what clubs your character(s) would be interested in. (You can also have your character volunteer to run the club, create an NPC to run a club, or- if nothing else- Togetic will do it. They love all hobbies.) Here's a potential form, if you'd like:

- There's no membership requirements, so if your character wants to be in, they're in!
- Feel free to assume the club meets for activities whenever it's convenient.
- Characters don't HAVE to sign up for clubs in order to attend club activities, but knowing who's interested in/signed up for a club may help coordinate future threads.

She can teach you how to make threads/fabrics, how to make your own patterns, the importance of measurements, and heck she can even knit a little and embroider some! ANYTHING ELSE/OTHER: The only one of these subjects Shoka has any real experience with as a Pokémon is crafting. As a human, she was a fairly skilled violin player, but she 1.) has no idea how violin-playing would translate to a Mimikyu body, and 2.) has negative associations with the instrument, so that's beside the point. Point is she's "got nothin' better to do" and is trying to expand her world or whatever. She will probably show up only half the time.

CLUB SUGGESTION: Oh man, I've been wanting to suggest this for awhile now: A Mystery Club for solving mysteries in! It would be held by a rather lanky and easily frighten Arcanine that is very food motivated. It'd be used in range from incredibly silly mysteries (Think Scooby Doo brand mysteries for the Pokemon world) towards the more serious ones like the Missing Pokemon quests to discuss over. So, who is interested in the Mystery Club? >:3c
