New quests are released! Sign-ups will open officially on the 3rd of this month, so until then, here's a plotting post for you all to get your Duckletts in a row! Before we hop right into things, though, here are the tallies from total quest points!

ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We didn't list guild leaders this time, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

As a new outpost, our borders beyond the forest aren’t yet defined, and there are Pokemon attacking the workers. In particular, Houndour have been spotted. It’s time to chase them off!

LOCATION VOTE RESULTS!

As promised, we’ve tallied the IC Vote on our new Location Names. The Locations Page will be updated with these names after further exploration has been made to better understand these regions, but until then Pokemon have been invited to spread awareness of the following locations - both old and new. Note: For locations where no suggested names were offered, the Mods have created new names themselves!

SPECTRUNK FOREST - Name suggested by Narciso Anasui. Due to their nature to blend together once inside, this is the collective name for the woods containing the following:

⟡ The Sporest’s Troop - Commonly referred to as the ‘North Forest’, situated against the Canopy toward the middle crescent of Bottlecap Bay.
⟡ The Gravebone Woods - Commonly referred to as the ‘Middle Forest’, situated along the south crescent of Bottlecap Bay to the ‘North’s immediate west side.
⟡ The Hallowed Cemetree - Commonly referred to as the ‘South Forest’, situated at the farthest forested end of Bottlecap Bay’s crescent, west of the ‘Middle’.

CROWNCORK VALLEY - Name repurposed from Firoza’s submission. All three portions of Spectrunk Forest exit into this large plain, now known as Crowncork Valley. By popular vote, the Outpost constructed there is henceforth known as Death Blood Murder Skull Town, courtesy of our very own Flowey! While it seems Mightyena eagerly prepared the full name for use, with Polteageist reportedly agreeing in amusement, Ribombee has insisted on shortening this name to ‘something manageable’ for the maps. It will therefore be listed more often as ‘Skull Town’. (Other characters may spot Flowey doing an evil laugh, when he realizes that his suggestion got picked.)

There are now three regions accessed from this Outpost, known by the following names:

⟡ Furnace Mountain - Name suggested by Flamebringer. Located toward the forest’s exit, in a ‘northern’ direction. Revealed to be a shield volcano.
⟡ Heavy Downmoor - Name suggested by Siffrin. Located south-east from the Furnace Mountain, as the ‘middle’ option. Revealed to contain a mountainous flood basin.
⟡ Icefall Lake - Name suggested by Narciso Anasui. Located due south from the forest’s exit and the outpost itself. Revealed to be a mountain sheltered frozen lake.

ABOUT:

[He would] have the stats that would normally make up a strong, well-rounded leader. However, his social skills are so lacking that it basically negates his other strengths... Which is to say, this boy ain't right! He has no social graces, is a little too stoked to be here, and tends to unnerve most people even back home. He is now a monster-obsessed-turned-Pokémon-fanatic, and he will be excited to try all the food Bottlecap Bay has to offer. Yes, that means everything. Wait, hold on, please don't go yet—

Laios has always struggled to fit in, but despite his experiences (or more likely because of them), he's far more kind and accepting than most would give him credit for. He may not know how to show it correctly, but he genuinely means well and holds every friendship he does manage to make very close to his heart.

Also. He has an impressive dog impersonation. He's very excited to show it off as an actual dog. Why wouldn't you want to be his friend because he's still an absolute weirdo, that's why.

PLANS:

Sudden realization that Laios has been going through it the past two months without talking about any of it. Between being called a bad boy, thinking he lost a chunk of his memories after crossover shenanigans with Flamebringer, and Firepaw and Lusamine both hitting the coma ward, he might be acting weirder than usual and not in a good way. Anyway, he's excited to be here! Isn't everything just great and normal on this fine day!

Also anyone know about a mystical steel horse and/or dinosaur Pokémon?

Now, for quests: I'm mainly thinking Scholastic Decisions (he loves those scholars!) and As A Corsol-ing River (he's familiar with that area!). He'd also be helpful with tracking on Shielding Questions, or alternatively A Dour Struggle, but he might get way too distracted by how cool Houndours are.

Sorry, I got excited so I wrote I've gotten a light summary. If you think it's okay, I'll send it in after. Feel free to add suggestions or change anything!

Despite Flamebringer being put with two people that exhaust him very much, the trio have historically worked very well together. For the quest, Laios has his nose to help tracking Corosola down. Flamebringer has their danger sense to keep them aware of any danger happening at Heavy Downmore and Anasui can partially keep his team safe from the weather with his psychic abilities. Between their particular set of skills, they should be okay. They'll probably even have time for Anasui to give Laios a pep-talk because Laios has been internalsing things for the last two months (aka Anasui will smack the sadness out of him).

ABOUT:

Formerly the notorious Big Bad Wolf of fairytale fame, Bigby is now the exhausted sheriff of Fabletown in New York City circa the 1980s. Despite wanting to move on from his brutal past, his fellow Fables aren’t so easily convinced that he’s around to serve their best interests even after centuries on the job already. There’s a part of him that doesn’t think he deserves their forgiveness either, that he’s just suppressing the monster he really is, but he’s desperate to keep trying to protect those who need him.

He often skirts the line between sympathetic and ruthless depending on the situation, but in general, he’s mostly just rough around the edges and maybe a little sarcastic on his best days. Bigby can be pretty quick on picking things up, too, but his short temper can easily lead him astray when pushed enough. The man is perpetually on the verge of another crash out, please do not remind him (or do, so he can let out some pent up frustration)!!

PLANS:

All those exploration quests huh guys. His team ran into a ruined version of the Archives, so like. He has questions. He's also been feeling kind of shitty about Firepaw, so feel free to blame him for probably being a cause of stressing that poor cat out to make him feel even worse.

Anyway. Might fuck around and get him Defog or something as a reward while ominously saving for a merged form. How does a little guy like him manage to huff and puff and blow your evasion down? It's fine. Don't worry about it.

For quests, I think he'd be good on Toedally Missing or Bea-very Chilled (can these people not get lost for once). Sending him on the latter is especially funny to me in particular because he's going to get so cold in that area. You think Bidoof is going to freeze out there? Look at the rat next to you.

Otherwise, No Pain No Grain and A Dour Struggle are also good! He needs to hit his monthly go to clinic for stupid injuries as a small Morpeko quota somehow.

I think Noelle and Bigby should interact again I think it would be really really funny. No Pain No Grain works well for a chill quest, and A Dour Struggle would be great to make her suffer since she's a weak Grass-type and would get nearly killed (but maybe it would unlock some new healing/support moves from her...?)

This is the perfect opportunity for him to learn Stomping Tantrum against Fire-types too though. Protective Bigby, never beating the dad allegations. (Even if Noelle makes him so hyper aware of all the dumb hamster shit he does now please do not perceive him for more than five seconds at a time thanks!!!)
