New quests are released! Sign-ups will open officially on the 3rd of this month, so until then, here's a plotting post for you all to get your Duckletts in a row! Before we hop right into things, though, here are the tallies from total quest points!

ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We didn't list guild leaders this time, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

As a new outpost, our borders beyond the forest aren’t yet defined, and there are Pokemon attacking the workers. In particular, Houndour have been spotted. It’s time to chase them off!

LOCATION VOTE RESULTS!

As promised, we’ve tallied the IC Vote on our new Location Names. The Locations Page will be updated with these names after further exploration has been made to better understand these regions, but until then Pokemon have been invited to spread awareness of the following locations - both old and new. Note: For locations where no suggested names were offered, the Mods have created new names themselves!

SPECTRUNK FOREST - Name suggested by Narciso Anasui. Due to their nature to blend together once inside, this is the collective name for the woods containing the following:

⟡ The Sporest’s Troop - Commonly referred to as the ‘North Forest’, situated against the Canopy toward the middle crescent of Bottlecap Bay.
⟡ The Gravebone Woods - Commonly referred to as the ‘Middle Forest’, situated along the south crescent of Bottlecap Bay to the ‘North’s immediate west side.
⟡ The Hallowed Cemetree - Commonly referred to as the ‘South Forest’, situated at the farthest forested end of Bottlecap Bay’s crescent, west of the ‘Middle’.

CROWNCORK VALLEY - Name repurposed from Firoza’s submission. All three portions of Spectrunk Forest exit into this large plain, now known as Crowncork Valley. By popular vote, the Outpost constructed there is henceforth known as Death Blood Murder Skull Town, courtesy of our very own Flowey! While it seems Mightyena eagerly prepared the full name for use, with Polteageist reportedly agreeing in amusement, Ribombee has insisted on shortening this name to ‘something manageable’ for the maps. It will therefore be listed more often as ‘Skull Town’. (Other characters may spot Flowey doing an evil laugh, when he realizes that his suggestion got picked.)

There are now three regions accessed from this Outpost, known by the following names:

⟡ Furnace Mountain - Name suggested by Flamebringer. Located toward the forest’s exit, in a ‘northern’ direction. Revealed to be a shield volcano.
⟡ Heavy Downmoor - Name suggested by Siffrin. Located south-east from the Furnace Mountain, as the ‘middle’ option. Revealed to contain a mountainous flood basin.
⟡ Icefall Lake - Name suggested by Narciso Anasui. Located due south from the forest’s exit and the outpost itself. Revealed to be a mountain sheltered frozen lake.

ABOUT:

Train conductor from the modern era of fictional New York City but two steps to the left because surprise, Pokémon have always been a thing in his world! Cheerful and Always Smiling. Can be somewhat blunt and to the point! A bit of an adrenaline junkie, maybe, if that's what we're calling being into battles as much as he is. Because if a battle is not serious, it is not fun! Surely the eternal grin matched with this kind of attitude on a spectral white ghost fox who sometimes can be a little overwhelming especially when he gets (over)excited will be fine.

Where he's from he's one of the two who should be running Unova's equivalent of the Battle Tower, except out of the subway because nothing says New York like making your morning commute PVP enabled. Here in the Bay, or now the newly christened skull death all that goth stuff etc etc Outpost, he mostly keeps himself busy with missions and training and helping people get used to the Pokémon thing if need be, when he's not keeping himself attached at the hip to his (previously very, very missing) brother Ingo.

PLANS:

Iiiii don't have a lot of concrete plans for this month? Get to know the surrounding area more, for sure, help his newly adopted recruited Archen friend to get adjusted to the Outpost, donate more shed to the 'keep explorers warm in the south/winter' initiative that Firoza seems to be single-handedly spearheading, keep up sparring with his regular partners (or make new ones)... those are all things on his docket ic, for sure, but ultimately the summer has been surprisingly chill for him compared to the months prior, outside some hiccups here and there. He has the usual thoughts and concerns in the back of his head about the coma thing, and even more about their collective situation here, but shhhh it's all okay, he's fine surely! surely. if you're firoza and got that psychic blast last month don't say anything.

If I'm feeling really nice to him I might let him get an electric move of some sort instead of just chatting to Laios and Siffrin about ones they might be able to do, because he probably deserves it. Buuuuut that's entirely contingent on me letting him have something nicer for himself than struggling with Hisuian Zoroark's resentment-and-malice-fueled signature move.

Quests wise, he'd be up for Scholastic Decisions, Bea-very Chilled, As a Corsol-ing River ... or, well, actually now that I'm reading through all of them, pretty much any of them. Stay active, you know. But he in particular will be very much interested in bodyguarding the scholars in pursuit of figuring out more about this place in general, and very much want to help Tynamo specifically for the Corsola rescue on account of a Tynamo having been his first partner back home. Bea-very Chilled and Shielding Questions he'd offer to help with just because he's better suited for the south on account of being a Hisuian variant, but I'm game to handwave or thread out any of these and/or the resource/Houndour quests once we see what the docket's looking like. If you want or need him for a quest anywhere, hmu!

Looks like the limited quests are gonna fill out quick so Happy to handwave the light quests or thread it out!

Anasui has been getting pissed off with the BCB ghost population (RingSpirit, Spiritomb, a random Litwick, and even somewhat Polteageist!) so I imagine he would also want Emmet to help him fight ghosts during their training sessions.

Anyway, I'm open to threading or handwaving! I believe Emmet's going to be doing Scholastic Decisions with Siffrin, but I think Anasui's already doing that one with Emporio and Flowey, right? Any of Shielding Questions, No Pain No Grain, or the Houndour quests will be fine with me (though Houndour will actually be hilarious between the both of them having weaknesses to dark. it's fine. they can power through with spite and grit if need be.) And if we want them to have actual threaded interactions we can either do it under the current event log (I have a wildcard option available on my tl if we want to do the working on anti-ghost tactics thing) or wait until whatever the TDM brings us if you want.

Yep! Doing Scholastic with the kids! I'm happy to do whatever since they'll all be repeat quests but doing the Houndour quest will be really, really funny bc Anasui is doing a round of Dour quest with Akira so he keeps bringing guys with weaknesses to the dog fight (Grit is very very good).

For the anti-ghost thread, I would like to thread it at some point! Lets see what the TDM brings so we're not both swamped!
