New quests are released! Sign-ups will open officially on the 3rd of this month, so until then, here's a plotting post for you all to get your Duckletts in a row! Before we hop right into things, though, here are the tallies from total quest points!

ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We didn't list guild leaders this time, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

As a new outpost, our borders beyond the forest aren’t yet defined, and there are Pokemon attacking the workers. In particular, Houndour have been spotted. It’s time to chase them off!

LOCATION VOTE RESULTS!

As promised, we’ve tallied the IC Vote on our new Location Names. The Locations Page will be updated with these names after further exploration has been made to better understand these regions, but until then Pokemon have been invited to spread awareness of the following locations - both old and new. Note: For locations where no suggested names were offered, the Mods have created new names themselves!

SPECTRUNK FOREST - Name suggested by Narciso Anasui. Due to their nature to blend together once inside, this is the collective name for the woods containing the following:

⟡ The Sporest’s Troop - Commonly referred to as the ‘North Forest’, situated against the Canopy toward the middle crescent of Bottlecap Bay.
⟡ The Gravebone Woods - Commonly referred to as the ‘Middle Forest’, situated along the south crescent of Bottlecap Bay to the ‘North’s immediate west side.
⟡ The Hallowed Cemetree - Commonly referred to as the ‘South Forest’, situated at the farthest forested end of Bottlecap Bay’s crescent, west of the ‘Middle’.

CROWNCORK VALLEY - Name repurposed from Firoza’s submission. All three portions of Spectrunk Forest exit into this large plain, now known as Crowncork Valley. By popular vote, the Outpost constructed there is henceforth known as Death Blood Murder Skull Town, courtesy of our very own Flowey! While it seems Mightyena eagerly prepared the full name for use, with Polteageist reportedly agreeing in amusement, Ribombee has insisted on shortening this name to ‘something manageable’ for the maps. It will therefore be listed more often as ‘Skull Town’. (Other characters may spot Flowey doing an evil laugh, when he realizes that his suggestion got picked.)

There are now three regions accessed from this Outpost, known by the following names:

⟡ Furnace Mountain - Name suggested by Flamebringer. Located toward the forest’s exit, in a ‘northern’ direction. Revealed to be a shield volcano.
⟡ Heavy Downmoor - Name suggested by Siffrin. Located south-east from the Furnace Mountain, as the ‘middle’ option. Revealed to contain a mountainous flood basin.
⟡ Icefall Lake - Name suggested by Narciso Anasui. Located due south from the forest’s exit and the outpost itself. Revealed to be a mountain sheltered frozen lake.

ABOUT:

This Sarkaz is an Ex-mercenary turned operator, working for Rhodes Island, the Pharmaceutical company looking for the final cure to Oripathy, and to save the world! No pressure. Also don't ask why a pharmaceutical company hires an army. Don't worry about it.

Flamebringer himself has been a Mercenary for a long time, joining Rhodes Island was an exercise in curiosity... And also maybe finding the answer to who's responsible for a great wrong he suffered through years ago... but for now he's just another Operator, going through the motions of helping with Catastrophe relief, and helping the infected. He himself has interesting views on life, and he has no issue letting people know how he feels about their choices. There's a softer side to him, but it might take chipping away at his exterior for a while to find it... or getting lucky.

So far he's adjusted as well as he can to Bottlecap bay. Things here aren't so different from back home- the biggest difference is that people are way chummier. He's annoyed about it, but he's letting it slide for now. He doesn't like how much mind muckery this place has brought about, and he's remained standofish from his guildmates and fellow pokemon...

PLANS:

So my mans here is VERY beat up from his expedition which was a very bad, very not good, very awful time for him HAHAHA. He's probably been in the clinic for the past ingame week or so- But he pretty quickly fist fought his way to return to his normal quarters. He's been totally reasonable about his workload ever since.... reasonable to him anyways. The medical staff (and Mighteyena) have been on his case enough that he can't push himself as far as he normally would- but all the same, should you be out here doing stuff dude??

So all that taken into account- I think he's going to try to participate in the Non Combat quests, since he's probably been banned from fighting. I'm down to put him on any of the missing person quests! Toedally Missing, Bea-Very chilled, or as a Corsol-ing river, I could totally slap him on one of these! As for the non limited quests he's only clear for No Pain no Grain, even if he still needs to take the work lightly...

ANYTHING ELSE: Look at this gorgeous skin I just got for him in game from the most recent Contingency Contract run. I'm SO happy I waited a YEAR for this.

Oh that sounds like a great time, I'm so down for that! Flamebringer is put with two people who can exhaust him so much and he's already so so tired from being a tenderized chicken. PLEASE THEY"RE VERY FUNNY. I feel like Anasui is always 2 seconds away from flipping from "Reliable" to "Obnoxious" in Flamebringer's head, he keeps just barely staying above the line and its SO funny.

I got excited so I just wrote I've gotten a light summary. If you think it's okay, I'll send it in afterwards. Feel free to add suggestions or change anything!

Summary: Despite Flamebringer being put with two people that exhaust him very much, the trio have historically worked very well together. For the quest, Laios has his nose to help tracking Corosola down. Flamebringer has their danger sense to keep them aware of any danger happening at Heavy Downmore and Anasui can partially keep his team safe from the weather with his psychic abilities. Between their particular set of skills, they should be okay. They'll probably even have time for Anasui to give Laios a pep-talk because Laios has been internalsing things for the last two months (aka Anasui will smack the sadness out of him).

Oh Heck yeah that looks fantastic SDFLJSDKLF LAIOS. Oh I have some additional ideas! If Flamebringer picks up on Laios being down (or more Picks up on Anasui picking up on it maybe xD) He'll be. Nicer. By Flamebringer standards. Which means being less mean and basically saying "you're fine" but in blunt and roundabout ways xD He's also slower than normal but is OBVIOUSLY pushing himself to keep up like normal...
