ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We didn't list guild leaders this time, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

Calling all available Pokemon capable of rescue! Team Watchlight of the Cheri Berries Guild has yet to return from their mission. According to their most recent mission report to Pellipper, they were located within the Heavy Downmoor region - more specifically, the flood basin.

Now that we're keeping track of who's in the city, I've realized that I haven't seen Furfrou in a while... Does anyone know where they might have gone? It might take some investigating, but I'll give you a cool rock for it!

As proof of solidarity with our allies, it is important to help defend the territories of the Forest from those who mean harm. In particular, Arctibax have been spotted harassing local Ghost Pokemon - remind them that they have their own place to call home!

MAYORAL VOTE RESULTS!

On a makeshift stage, as her last activity during this trip to Skull Town, Mightyena counts out the votes collected from all the poll boxes - gently discarding invalid votes to the side. (A Pelipper from the post office reviews that pile, making sure she didn’t make a mistake.)

The other end of the stage holds all five candidates - though Grimpig seems distracted, busily chattering away over telepathy. There’s an increasingly apprehensive silence from Umbreon in particular as the tally starts racking up more and more in his favor, and the pile of votes grows small… and then Malamar exclaims and points. There’s a Swalot near the pile with a suspiciously full-looking mouth!

Swalot is quickly bullied into using Spit Up, revealing a slimy bundle of additional votes. Mightyena dutifully calls these out as well, though she’s hiding a grimace at the clammy texture. By the time she reaches the bottom, though the vote is respectably close, there’s still a clear victor!

As promised, we’ve tallied the IC Vote on our new Mayor for (Death Blood Murder) Skull Town. With that in mind, we’d like to give a hearty congratulations to Cheri Berry Guild’s Lurantis!

Lurantis replaces Mightyena to make a very short, if still gracious, speech - though she’s outwardly calm, perhaps she doesn’t enjoy speaking to crowds? She thanks those who voted for her and promises again to focus first on preparing Skull Town for the encroaching winter, and on relations with the local Pokemon. Then she steps delicately down off the stage and into the crowd to make herself available to talk to.

As it turns out, she’s built up enough popularity that the crowd is packed tight! No Pokemon originating from other worlds will get a chance to speak with her directly before she eventually has to leave, but she’ll be available again in the near future. Just give her a couple of weeks to get settled into her new duties and organize the most urgent tasks and assignments!

INCOMING EVENTS

Winter appears to be arriving a little too quick for everyone’s liking this year, as once the middle of the month arrives so too will snow - and a lot of it! Get ready to see what Pokemon do during a Snow Day as we greet potential new players this month, as we begin to see snow forts, snow wars, and…snow beasts?

Hopefully whatever is coming isn’t any worse than Froslass.

ABOUT: I've been RPing with Andrea for over 15 years now, and our earliest characters were Pokémon so we've come full circle back in a Pokémon RP. This month at work is "Black November", a hellish month long Black Friday, so I will be pretty busy this month, but I'm hoping I can be here a bit. Timezone is Central US.

ABOUT:

Kinger was originally a human, a long time ago, but for the last unknown amount of time (implied to be decades) he has been trapped in the digital avatar of a chess piece inside of a digital realm from which there is no escape. Which is why it took him a while to accept that he had, in fact, escaped into a different fantasy realm. Kinger has incredibly poor memory and focus, only being able to gather his thoughts when he's in the dark.

Kinger is probably going to be spending a lot of time by himself in The Spire this month, as much as he can in cramped housing. With the threat of abstraction no longer looming and requiring him to keep up active distractions, he's going to focus on his thoughts and practicing being a Pokémon.

I'm probably going to mostly focus on backtagging this month, since the back half of October was pretty rough for me. I do know some people who might be test driving, though, so I will at least hop in to RP with them. Otherwise, if you want to do some light quests with Kinger that you're okay with not getting much in terms of actual RP, hmu.

ANYTHING ELSE:

Two thoughts:

1. I'd love to do a light quest with Kinger, either with Flowey or Noelle. Maybe we could handwave that Kinger visited Noelle while she was in the clinic?
2. Can Flowey take some of his mushroom caps. I don't know how he figured out they're edible and taking them won't kill Kinger, but for Laios's player quest, Flowey wants to give Pokemon food items that aren't meat lol

I'm definitely good with handwaving that Kinger visited Noelle, because I definitely would've played that out if I was in a better place mentally last month lol.

I'm also good with Flowey somehow figuring out that stealing Kinger's mushrooms won't kill him. Maybe Flowey sees Kinger getting a mushroom caught on a branch and it popping off without Kinger even noticing, or something?

I'm also good for whatever as far as light quests, none of them jump out at me rn more than any other, so I'm open for pitches of whichever one you end up having free!

Sounds good! We can talk about how the visit might've went next time we do a thread with them. I also think that's a totally fine idea for how Flowey learns about the harvestable mushrooms, lol.

Flowey isn't doing "Furfrou's Sake," so we could work on that! We can thread out as much of it as you're up for if you want or we can handwave it?

I realized responding to things oldest to newest doesn't help when one of them is trying to plan things oops

If you haven't already done Furfrou's Sake with someone else I'm down, tiny plants trying to find a massive dog seems like there's a lot of room to go wrong
