OOC INTRO

We've gotten a nice first round for the start of the game! There's a form below for you all to introduce yourselves, or get reacquainted after the interest check, and start your plotting in game! Quests will be releasing in about a week along with the first event that will center largely around these quests. Afterwards, we plan on having a temperature check of sorts where you can all express thoughts or concerns on the pacing, handling, or anything else. Things aren't fully set in stone, and we can make adjustments moving forward!

baymods) for more minor updates! As you jump into the intro, here are some important things to note:

⟡ ICly, there was a "town meeting" held today where the guild leaders announced that newcomers would be invited to guilds. It has been decided that characters should join a guild to help give back to the city that will, in turn, help them find a way home. Dr. Denne mentions that he's been assigned to make this his top priority for the time being.

⟡ Characters may have been ICly told about this decision before the meeting, depending on their intro blurb.

⟡ This meeting is when characters receive their grumpearls, meaning they have been taught how to use the network! You are free to post open logs or network posts now that the game is officially open. Remember, the network is a psychic connection, so it is quite possible to transmit thoughts unintentionally, have issues, etc.

⟡ The guild leaders are very busy getting everything in order with these decisions, but they will be available for threading with in some limited capacity on the event post. Until then, if there's an urgent question your character would seek them out for, or maybe a message they'd like to send (due to their intro prompts or otherwise), there will be a header below for you to do so.

⟡ Many "newcomers" have vanished. Those faces you met on the TDM are gone just as quickly as they arrived. Some have trouble remembering them. Maybe even you can only imagine a fuzzy outline of someone, no recognition of the conversations you might have had, or maybe certain highlights are more clear. Dr. Denne mentions that this is a known phenomenon, that some of them can recall them, but not others. They say they'll be keeping a record of the Pokemon here now so that they won't be lost, and will try to find out what happened.

their TDM thread is so fun!! 😭 i'm so delighted that Firepaw is here...i'm a fake Warriors fan because i've never actually read any of the books (my extremely violent animal book series for children of choice as a kid was Guardians of Ga'Hoole) but i'm completely fascinated by the fan animations i find on YouTube...at this point i've seen so many that i know way more about the lore than i should. those cats have so much bullshit going on. i stan Mapleshade now

ANYWAY Shoka loves cats but she never got the chance to actually have one of her own before she uhhhh died (though i like to imagine she sometimes hung out with Tokyo's street cats even post-death...something something that trope where animals can see ghosts) so she is ALSO delighted to see Firepaw here. she'll do her best to be normal about it since he can talk and clearly isn't interested in being a pet etc etc...but if he ever lets her give him a pat, she's sorry but that would be the dream 🥺🥺

for the time being, she's happy to wrassle and attempt to explain human-adjacent things to him. buddy there are so many flavors out there. shopping is great. take my ghost hand. i can show you the world

honestly REAL half the people i follow on YT are warriors fan artists. i never read far enough to get to Mapleshade but i know all her lore and i love her. also Guardians of Ga'Hoole rocks!! I read all the animal violence books as a kid, except for Animorphs cause the covers scared me lmao.

also Firepaw loves pets, although he'll probably try to not be obvious about it because He's A Real Cool Warrior And Not A Pet. he might try to groom her in return and then realize the disguise tastes bad.

ALL THOSE ANIMATORS ARE SO TALENTED i'll be watching the most inconceivably wild cat romance drama just utterly mesmerized...and actually same re: Animorphs, i probably would have enjoyed them but those covers...😭😭

CRYING that would be so cute...i gave Shoka's Mimikyu form five-fingered hands for the "a little too human" creepy factor but the REAL reason was so she could give Firepaw extra good scritches. she'll feel bad about her gross disguise but as long as she hears a purr her day will be made 🥺
