New quests are released! Sign-ups will open officially on the 3rd of this month, so until then, here's a plotting post for you all to get your Duckletts in a row! Before we hop right into things, though, here are the tallies from total quest points!

ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We don't currently list guild leaders, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

NOTES: This is a Secret Santa Form! Rather than a typical Heavy Quest, you may submit this form alone, in order to participate in this year’s IC Secret Santa event.

For your initial summary submission, please include what other characters would be able to glean - from observation or asking other characters - about your character’s IC likes, dislikes, preferences, and any other details. Submissions will close on the 10th of December, after which we will hand out everyone’s Secret Santa assignments!

As we approach the end of the year, the Lum Guild is seeking more records to add to our shelves from newer additions to the community. We invite all Pokemon with stories to share to the Archives, in order to record tales of their homeland within our halls.

The tunnels of the Spire are very expansive, and every year the Oran Guild has more and more to decorate for our longest night. I am requesting as many as possible to come and help us decorate our halls.

PS - There may be wet clay, but it should not harm anyone who steps in it.

We have done well to clean up from the recent storm, but there is still much work to be done. I need as many Pokemon as possible to clear and salt our snow covered roadways and bridges.

Snow, music, and festivities - it seems that as the longest night approaches, a party is in the works! A Mysterious Pokemon will be making their appearance late in the month, bringing their own unique spin on old traditions. How will you share the spirit of the night? A good meal? A treasured gift?

Also, did anyone just see a red-tailed Treecko disappear into the bushes?

As an additional note, Player Suggestions are now being welcomed via our Helper Mod Contact Page - this has technically always been the case, but we wanted to make it clear as we prepare to enter our second year at Bottlecap Bay. While we cannot guarantee a suggested event will be included in our line-up, we welcome the many ideas our creative players have, and look forward to potentially incorporating these in future posts!

ABOUT:

Formerly the notorious Big Bad Wolf of fairytale fame, Bigby is now the exhausted sheriff of Fabletown in New York City circa the 1980s. Despite wanting to move on from his brutal past, his fellow Fables aren’t so easily convinced that he’s around to serve their best interests even after centuries on the job already. There’s a part of him that doesn’t think he deserves their forgiveness either, that he’s just suppressing the monster he really is, but he’s desperate to keep trying to protect those who need him.

He often skirts the line between sympathetic and ruthless depending on the situation, but in general, he’s mostly just rough around the edges and maybe a little sarcastic on his best days. Bigby can be pretty quick on picking things up, too, but his short temper can easily lead him astray when pushed enough. The man is perpetually on the verge of another crash out, please do not remind him (or do, so he can let out some pent-up frustration)!!

PLANS:

So that whole thing about self-actualization last month? Turns out that was a fucking lie. Getting rage baited by teenagers on the network tends to do that. At least he’s not at his absolute lowest, but he’s still a loud hamster with an attitude making his problems infinitely worse. Merry Christmas, you filthy animal.

Bigby is not a festive person, but he at least gets the importance of giving gifts, so his immediate focus will be that. Somehow, despite who he is, he has a whole list of people to get shit for, and he’s suddenly very overwhelmed. Please don’t make fun of his handmade gifts. He’s trying his best here. Expect him at the Crafting Club and Oran Kitchen quite a bit this month.

Quests! I don't know how, but I'm going to get him to do Claus for Alarm whether he likes it or not. Otherwise, would love to team him up for Happy Pawlidays and especially Ghosts of Teatimes Past. How does this guy know that many fairytales off the top of his head like that...

ANYTHING ELSE: ( x ) As the keeper of Santa’s lists, he canonically knows if you’ve been naughty or nice this year, so watch out.

ABOUT:

[He would] have the stats that would normally make up a strong, well-rounded leader. However, his social skills are so lacking that it basically negates his other strengths... Which is to say, this boy ain't right! He has no social graces, is a little too stoked to be here, and tends to unnerve most people even back home. He is now a monster-obsessed-turned-Pokémon-fanatic, and he will be excited to try all the food Bottlecap Bay has to offer. Yes, that means everything. Wait, hold on, please don't go yet—

Laios has always struggled to fit in, but despite his experiences (or more likely because of them), he's far more kind and accepting than most would give him credit for. He may not know how to show it correctly, but he genuinely means well and holds every friendship he does manage to make very close to his heart.

Also. He has an impressive dog impersonation. He's very excited to show it off as an actual dog. Why wouldn't you want to be his friend because he's still an absolute weirdo, that's why.

PLANS:

Last month was a bit of a roller coaster, but also: his birthday! He's officially hit the late-twenties void of "he doesn't feel any different, but thanks for asking." More importantly, he's just so happy people brought him fun ingredients to try. He will be riding that high into the festivities this month. Otherwise, he'll be in too deep thinking about what happened to Fireheart again, and we can't have a dog spiraling over the holidays.

I'll be getting a backdated mingle post up for his birthday. Both new and old friends are welcome because imagine making a delicious meal exclusive to people he actually knows. Couldn't be him.

Laios is also going to be familiar enough with some version of the holiday season to want to celebrate! He'll be hunting around for things to get friends, but feel free to pull him into any gift searching of your own. If nothing else, his ideas will be unique. Expect him around town shops and various kitchens.

He'll definitely be joining for Claus for Alarm, so I'm sorry to whoever he gets to give a gift to. Both Snow Place Like Home and Ghosts of Teatimes Past are also perfect for him to tag along for!
