ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We don't currently list guild leaders, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. Snow, music, and festivities - it seems that as the longest night approaches, a party is in the works! A Mysterious Pokemon will be making their appearance late in the month, bringing their own unique spin on old traditions. How will you share the spirit of the night? A good meal? A treasured gift?

Also, did anyone just see a red-tailed Treecko disappear into the bushes?

As an additional note, Player Suggestions are now being welcomed via our Helper Mod Contact Page - this has technically always been the case, but we wanted to make it clear as we prepare to enter our second year at Bottlecap Bay. While we cannot guarantee a suggested event will be included in our line-up, we welcome the many ideas our creative players have, and look forward to potentially incorporating these in future posts!

He's the king of only, and the host with the most! (The most... what?)

He's an actual, living CRT Television with emotions that reach the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in a matter of seconds. The former lord of his own dark world, Tenna wasn't always the best boss to his employees, and often treated them poorly when he was in a bad mood, or things didn't go according to plan, which happened more and more frequently when he stopped being watched. It resulted in him making a shady deal with the Knight in order to get his audience back. This backfired, however, because not only did his whole crew resign, he ended up fighting the Fun Gang, who did manage to give him hope that he wasn't obsolete yet, and would find a new audience... only to be attacked by the Knight, and nearly killed. It's okay though, because with the help of Susie and his former crew, he was repaired, and saved from death! With the resolve to do better by his crew, he was brought to Castle Town where he could wait for Susie and Kris to find him a new home, with a new audience...

... except that didn't happen, and now he's here! That's fine, he'll just put on a show here! Everything is fine and nothing is wrong whatsoever, haha! He doesn't need to be a TV to put on good TV! Doesn't matter that TV doesn't exist here! He'll find an audience... right?

Regardless, he finally finished setting up his TV Studio, and he's raring to go!

PLANS:

With his studio complete, he's hosting a quest of his own: he's looking for contestants for a proper TV Time show!

Additionally, he will be telling stories at GHOSTS OF TEATIMES PAST, and he's looking for actors to help act out his stories! What good story is complete without a proper visual, after all?

He may be a bit more jumpy, what with all the snow and cold around. Funny, he used to love the cold place back home, but now...

Courier Six, from the hit videogame Fallout: New Vegas, who's been here for basically nearly a year. He has never quite settled here, still not quite sure how to survive in a place more peaceful then home. He's also a little curious to what it means that the guilds are changing rankings, but he's keeping his eyes on what that might mean... he doesn't expect a power play like he might have seen back home.

PLANS:

First of all, I'm going to be doing a post with this guy asking about behaviour changes, because I think it'll be a fun open thing to just mess around with. (And yes, it'll be an open post with threadjacking, I hope?) But I hope to take it easy this month. Other then the Secret Santa, he's also got some gifts together for some friends... he is doing his usual mail routes as well, and I might put up a Player Quest? But he's open for Ghosts of Teatimes Past, and Snow Place Like Home. Alas, he's still got that block over going to the tunnels of the Spire... but I think it might be interesting if somebody drags him down there for the decoration, as well! But it'd need to be somebody he cares about.

Because, uh. He would likely share why he's not a fan of tunnels to close CR. :3

Also! If anybody wants to misinterpret the Secret Santa as a weird delivery thing? You can blame Courier Six for it, if you want, since. He'd play into it, tbh? See it as causing a bit of mischief and chaos.

Perpetually sad but maybe a little less sad? A very well adjusted cubone considering he grew up in a prison (hiding at that), Emporio is the brain cell of his series and over all has a mostly good moral center despite everything. He does a lot of reading, helps at the Archives, and enjoys working quests with everyone! Somehow, he's not overworking himself a bunch, though having Polteageist all but adopt him probably helps.

PLANS:

It's winter!! Which means Emporio is going to look like a little burrito to avoid the snow, as it's quite burny against his wee ground type body. That won't stop him from doing Christmas work though! (Or is it Christmas??? what is pokemon christmas...)

ABOUT:

Anasui is the sluttiest prisoner from the Green Dolphin Prison, a high security jail in the mythical land of Florida. He is notoriously brutal, pragmatic and honestly just an asshole. However, outside his tendency to dismantle things (including bodies) when he's stressed, his obsessiveness and his violent approach to things though, he's... honestly a pretty good guy. Anasui has never hurt someone that didn't deserve it (even if he really wanted to) and if someone gets his trust, he will literally sacrifice his life for them.

Ever since he met the love of his life, Jolyne, Anasui has been trying to be a better man. That means fighting less and trying to compromise and be kinder more. As a result, in BCB, he's reluctantly taken on the role of resident bird-dad, and actively volunteers at the clinic.

PLANS:

When Anasui arrived, he took the Shed Tail of a wild Sceptile and dissected it into cubes after scaring it off (and showing it to Akira). Seeing the red Treecko... he's going to assume it's the Sceptile out for revenge and be paranoidly watching out for it.

Once he's convinced it isn't a vengeful Pokemon, Anasui is going to enjoy himself! While he hates festivals, Anasui is a huge Disney fan and has a soft spot for the holidays! (He taught Emporio about Christmas while in Prison). Anasui is down for all events this month and I'm open to everything. So hit me up! I love building CR.

Mayaka may look like a cute, smaller than average Sneasel but she has (1) claws laced with a poison she can’t control and (2) a mean temper and sharp tongue if you get on her bad side. While she’s quick to judge others and may come across as blunt, she’s the responsible sort and a team player. She also likes giving out nicknames (cute ones to friends, and teasing ones to those she finds odd).

Before all this, she quit her high school’s Manga Club to pursue being a manga artist seriously and was planning to submit her manga for a magazine award. She wants to continue drawing manga as a Sneasel, all while trying to keep it a secret from others, and grappling with the purpose of making art in this world. Hang in there, Mayaka!

PLANS:

- I have… only a vague idea of how quests work, so if anyone would like to pair up with this Sneasel for a quest that would be most appreciated! Ghosts of Teatimes Past / Snow Place Like Home / Happy Pawlidays all work.

- Lum Berry pals! If any Lum Berries want to give Mayaka a tour of her new accommodations (maybe they’re neighbours) or just get to know this new kid while on library duty etc, I would love that. Or a quest together.

One of those two inexplicably popular guys who keep getting mentioned in unrelated games in the series all the time! An ex-modern New York subway boss and current Meiji-era Hisui Warden, who is essentially a solo park ranger in the middle of nowhere! He's also trying to introduce Pokemon training to the region, because he is originally from the Pokemon world!

Things have been sort of Weird with his brother lately, so Ingo is throwing himself into pretending that everything is fine! Lately this is taking the form of escalating his training efforts, including running a player quest for BATTLE CHALLENGES with Emmet! He's not actually that accustomed to any Christmas-like holidays anymore (it's more about New Year's in Hisui) so he'll be mildly confused this month, but definitely participating anyway!

PLANS:

Definitely doing Claus for Alarm! And giving gifts to the rest of his CR as well once he realizes it's a thing/once I think of them ;;

He'll also be helping out on Happy Pawlidays and Snow Place like Home, both of which are pretty casual efforts for him. Maybe the story one if anybody drags him along - he has stories from Hisui but it feels sort of weird to be telling them like that here? He's not really sure where he stands with regards to considering anyplace "home" right now?

Flowey is a friendly flower and your new best friend who wants to help you!

He may have been brought back from a tragic and untimely end in a limbless, soulless form that left him unable to feel love, and he may have reset the timeline an unknowable amount of times until everyone around him felt like nothing but arbitrary lines of code to him, but it's fine don't worry about it.

Flowey has made a few steps forward (and a few steps back) in trying to improve himself since he got here and he's living his edgiest tween life right now... mostly.

PLANS:

Flowey is living it up in his new mid-tier housing (he didn't have many belongings to move). I will be trying to take it easier this month since I will be traveling to meet family (and I've also just been really tired lately), but I'd love to have a few threads to sort out some CR with Flowey.

I'll also be forcing him to participate in the Secret Santa, and maybe Snow Place like Home so he can continue kissing up to Ribombee.

ABOUT:

Formerly the notorious Big Bad Wolf of fairytale fame, Bigby is now the exhausted sheriff of Fabletown in New York City circa the 1980s. Despite wanting to move on from his brutal past, his fellow Fables aren’t so easily convinced that he’s around to serve their best interests even after centuries on the job already. There’s a part of him that doesn’t think he deserves their forgiveness either, that he’s just suppressing the monster he really is, but he’s desperate to keep trying to protect those who need him.

He often skirts the line between sympathetic and ruthless depending on the situation, but in general, he’s mostly just rough around the edges and maybe a little sarcastic on his best days. Bigby can be pretty quick on picking things up, too, but his short temper can easily lead him astray when pushed enough. The man is perpetually on the verge of another crash out, please do not remind him (or do, so he can let out some pent-up frustration)!!

PLANS:

So that whole thing about self-actualization last month? Turns out that was a fucking lie. Getting rage baited by teenagers on the network tends to do that. At least he’s not at his absolute lowest, but he’s still a loud hamster with an attitude making his problems infinitely worse. Merry Christmas, you filthy animal.

Bigby is not a festive person, but he at least gets the importance of giving gifts, so his immediate focus will be that. Somehow, despite who he is, he has a whole list of people to get shit for, and he’s suddenly very overwhelmed. Please don’t make fun of his handmade gifts. He’s trying his best here. Expect him at the Crafting Club and Oran Kitchen quite a bit this month.

Quests! I don't know how, but I'm going to get him to do Claus for Alarm whether he likes it or not. Otherwise, would love to team him up for Happy Pawlidays and especially Ghosts of Teatimes Past. How does this guy know that many fairytales off the top of his head like that...

A.B.A is a socially awkward homunculus who spent the first ten years of her life locked up in a mansion all alone. This has caused her to develop an intense fascination with keys, so much so that she declared herself married to a sentient battle axe simply because he looked like one. Her isolation has made her timid and shy, so to counteract this, she's prone to acting belligerent and authoritative. Her hope is that people don't think she's as lost and confused as she really is, but this often does the exact opposite.

Luckily, A.B.A thrives as a Pokémon, and doesn't feel the need to posture as much since most Pokémon are smaller than she is. She's hoping she can use every successful interaction as a lesson she can bring back home, when she finally reunites with her beloved Paracelsus, and show him just how far she's grown on her own. ABOUT:

III (true name Michael Arclight, but he's not telling anyone what his actual name is right now) is a fifteen year old tragic antagonist who, in his home world, was dealing with his messy family situation (one insane vengeance fueled father, one emotionally distant eldest brother, and one emotionally unstable/volatile and sadism prone second elder brother) as best he could. In this context, 'as best he could' meant acting as his father's good little revenge pawn while hoping his family would go back to normal once all the revenge was done and also being all too ready to sacrifice himself to protect his family.

Literally the last thing he did before ending up in the Bay was lose an emotional nuke of a duel against the local protag, proclaim that said local protag was his 'first and only friend', and then went home to go slip into an alien magic induced coma.

And now he's here, trapped as a tiny little Ralts, separated from everyone he knows and cares about. Needless to say, III misses his broken little family dearly and is uneasy with how small and weak he is compared to his human form but is struggling to adapt.

(Also he's a little history nerd who once broke into the protag's house for spying purposes, got immediately distracted by the sheer amount of ancient artifacts in the attic, and then excitedly infodumped about the artifacts when the protag showed up to intercept him. I feel like this is important knowledge.)

PLANS:

My plans right now are literally just 'III adjusts to life in Bottlecap Bay and his new guild'. He'll probably take on a few quests once he's found his feet, and will likely spend some time trying to figure out what moves he knows just in case he needs them, but beyond that this is his adjustment month.

Imagine someone took Disney's entire canon, put it in a blender, and then scattered it all over an original princess fairy tale setting, and you get the Sofia the First universe. Then imagine a scrawny royal sorcerer whom everyone thought was a screwup because of one childhood misunderstanding, so he tried to take over his boss' kingdom as a desperate attempt to prove his worth.

Now imagine that instead he was thwarted by the love of a seven-to-twelve-year-old child just because she was the only one with unwavering faith in his abilities and even called out those who doubted him. Sounds pathetic, right? Except it worked, and with newfound external confidence, he improved, to the point where he was the one who successfully conjured a spell to save that same child from eternal confinement in her own amulet, the same one he was initially pursuing for domination. All he lost in return was his longtime raven companion who now thinks he's a wuss.

PLANS:

Overall, Cedric's doing pretty good! He's got some Pokes he calls friends, others he pleasantly tolerates, others he reluctantly tolerates, it's great! He's also diving further into figuring out what's up in this strange Pokéworld, and still trying to learn a Psychic-type move that I will insistently prolong just to vex him.

This month, I'll be away in Québec for a week, so I don't expect to be as active as I was the last two months. That being said, I'm planning a Grumpearl post from him before I go (sometime this week), and I do want him involved in the Secret Santa and the quest Happy Pawlidays... since he's much more festive than he lets on. If anyone has any other delightful fluff Wassailia- I mean Christmas- I mean, holiday plans they want to do with him, I'm all ears - just be forewarned that some of my tags might be delayed.

Oh boy, time to condense this Fae Queen's background! Now, Dolly has been tossed about as of recently from her original home on Tir Na Nog, to Earth, then to Doriene by accident, and now the Pokemon World. After getting sorted into Lum Berry, Dolly has been having a pretty good and easy time adjusting with her guild mates along with getting glasses crafted for her. Even better, Dolly has learned about there being other non human characters and is starting to relax more. Also snow, lots and lots of snow...there's so much snow guys...

Heading into the personality department, Dolly most of the time, is pretty reserved in her own right, only letting loose her enthusiasm and excitement when something of her interests comes up. Dolly likes to keep calm and see if things can be talked through first before getting into fights. Dolly is very much full of wonder about the world around now that she is out for the first time. Sharing fun stories, especially ghost stories, are a very good way of getting Dolly to like people and in return will share stories that she knows of. Dolly is afraid of the dark thanks to where she came from and can get anxious at times. She can also sass a bit when the right buttons are pushed. The only time Dolly will fight is if she’s being threatened and even then, Dolly is the kind to hold back big time to avoid doing serious harm. Should be noted, Dolly likes to pun, a lot...

The YULE is upon Dolly and she is determined to navigate this nondenominational winter holiday here in the Pokemon world! Enigmatic Spinarak-turned-Hatenna who normally fails to introduce herself and has only referred to herself as "Hatenna" openly when asked. Fond of soup. Surprisingly chatty when she's not having to just grab a nap in her storage cupboard when coming into too strong a radius of strong emotions... you know, that migraine-o-meter, don't worry about it? Though if the emotions of others are too concentrated in an area she can't avoid, she's been known to been found barely conscious at times...

She's trying out this new "being encouraging" instead of "being bullying" mindset even if some people just end up being too trollable... mostly just trying to balance extreme emotions in her vicinity to deal. She definitely keeps a lot personal to herself due to varying issues, but she also can't quite process certain personal aspects about herself either, resulting in deflecting a lot to avoid dealing with any of her own issues. She has made a point of playing "big sister" to Guilmon (even if she doesn't know it), and goes on a lot of quests to keep busy.

Most of the usual - continuing to build CR/following up on anything ongoing. She does tend to hover around the board areas at times to pick up quests to keep busy, if anyone doesn't mind the +1 psychic hat teaming along, she's a known reliable workaholic at this point, probably, even if she does prefer exploring over the physical work but shhh. She's still sorting out most of her limits, anyway.

Do you like traumatized teenagers who make poor life choices? Then do I have news for you!

Goro Akechi suffered an awful life due to societal stigmas against illegitimate children and the children of sex workers, made worse by his mother's death and years cycling through orphanages and neglectful foster homes. Eventually he awakened a power he barely understood and, jaded by a life of pain, decided to hatch a stupid revenge plan against his father that led to him effectively being a child assassin masquerading as a prettyboy detective. Fun!

Akechi has since dropped his "detective prince" mask and is now a very jaded, aloof, and serious person who is still fiercely determined to prove himself, uncover the mysteries of this world. He sees this world as a fresh start and is trying to be a better person, but is highly suspicious of certain a uthority figures like Ribombee and, to a certain extent, Polteageist. He, Ren, and Flowey also kinda sorta have an unofficial detective trio thing going.

PLANS:

Akechi is very adamant about uncovering secrets and discovering the truth regarding many of the odd phenomena here. Recently, he put up a post regarding the strange missing Pokémon quests, including the weird whispers, the muttering, and the repetition at play. This month, he'll be doing a player quest seeking organized quest info from past rescues and expeditions in the interest of gathering the deep lore and creating a more cohesive image of the larger oddities at work. I'll try to have that up later today!

As for other quests, he'll be doing Happy Pawlidays and Ghost of Teatimes Past with Ren. He's also open for Snow Place Like home if anyone wants a grumpy sweater bird. And, because Akechi is an overachiever, he is wide open for It's! TV! Time! and Ren and Firoza's hot pot quest goes up.

Flamebringer comes from the hostile and war torn Terra. He was a wandering mercenary, but joined up with Rhodes Island a bit ago to pursue his own path. Honestly the work he does at Rhodes isn't all that different from his Mercenary work, but there sure is less killing and a lot more socializing.

He keeps to himself unless he has something to say, but when he does speak he speaks his mind. He holds to his beliefs and opinions staunchly, and will have no issue picking others apart if he finds them to be foolish. But sometimes he can be gentler! It just takes sometime to find that side of him...

Right now he's Not Doing So Great but Slightly Better. He woke up from a Coma at the beginning of last month and was very normal about it (had a panic attack) and ever since he's been trying to busy himself to keep his mind off of everything. Its giving the wrong impression that he suddenly WANTS to hang out with people now.

PLANS:

So help me, I want to force this man to participate in Claus for Alarm!! he will suck bad at it. He's definitely bought gifts for people before- but never strangers. Secret Santas are definitely NOT something he's done before. But he's bored stressed, and after talking with Noelle he's at least somewhat curious about this 'Christmas' everyone is talking... wait some of these celebrations are kind of familiar-

Also hilariously, I learned that his birthday is December 25th. ICly I cannot find a way to justify him telling anyone this- but if anyone wants to make it their mission to squeeze this information out of him- or has any ideas for fun Christmas shenanigans/related threads feel free to hit me up! That aside he's going to be open to doing Happy Pawlidays, mostly tagging behind other people who signed up first- he doesn't know what he's doing, and he's not going to be normal and just ask so instead he's going to be following other people's leads and trying to get an idea from a distance.

He's also going to be going for Snow Place Like Home since he's still very antsy. Give him something productive to do that requires getting out of the guild housing and he'll be there.

Sometimes you're just a little rogue guy on a country-saving adventure with their friends, and then you have the misfortune of dying in the final dungeon and getting stuck looping the last two days. For a long, long time. Not that you talk about any of that anyway, but that's it, that's definitely all there is to it!

Siffrin (Start Again) is a past iteration of Siffrin who was stuck in the time loop for years, broke down enough to give up, and made a wish for it to be "over," for "someone to help [them]." Wish Craft granted their wish by yanking them out of the timeline and replacing them with a fresh Siffrin. Loop is an annoying, catty, obnoxiously sparkly star-headed tutorial guy here to guide Siffrin with the time loops! Friendly helpful Loop, the only one besides you who gets to remember! Isn't it nice to have someone to talk to? You'd probably completely lose it if you were all by yourself, stardust!!

They totally have no other relation to Siffrin or the party at all. Definitely don't have a lot of messy unprocessed feelings about Siffrin escaping the loops and continuing on with what used to be their life. Nope! Just your local star, Loop!

Except they didn't remember any of that until very recently and they spent their first 6 months in Bottlecap Bay being Siffrin. So they're struggling to pretend otherwise now. Whoops!

While other characters may remember Siffrin trying to come off as a helpful, friendly jokester, Siffrin currently tries to present themself as obnoxiously cheerful, confident, and even a little bit mean-spirited. (Underneath, though, they're still very lonely and just might be ready to die for you if you give them positive attention for, like, a day. They also have even more of a chronic issue of not being honest about their problems, including to themself!)

Strongly recommending checking my permissions/opt out HERE to make sure there's nothing you want to opt out of! Otherwise: for canon point reasons, I'm sticking to they/them pronouns for them myself, but he/him is also fine.

So... the other Siffrin just dropped and this Siffrin is feeling all sorts of ways about that. They are, of course, Not Talking About Any Of It. It's fine we're fine moving on!

I'm planning to keep things pretty quiet this month otherwise! November was kind of a wash for offline reasons yet again, but I'd really like to get back into things and especially build up some CR with any newer characters!

Aside from the obvious gift exchange, Akira has tons of stories he can share, mostly in the form of documenting species that have certain similarities to various pokemon, so he can easily be found in the archives with more than enough paper and tablets to share if anyone wants to join him for Ghosts of Teatimes Past! Really though, for everyone's sake, please join him. Someone has to stop him from going off and dissecting other Pokemon for reference. Up for doing this one multiple times, since there's no end to what he'll want to learn and share!

There's not as much IC interest in Happy Pawlidays or Snow Place Like Home, but I'm happy to have him roped into either of those, too, if anyone would like! Kris is the leader of a band of heroes destined to save the world! Journalist for teen magazine Coolest, Maya's generally friendly and bright. I think the majority of that is genuine, but also that she's very good at compartmentalising. Don't worry about it, it's probably fine. Her role as part of the group dealing with the situation of rumours becoming reality back home in Sumaru is primarily to help guide and keep everyone on track- not unlike the role she was playing as the gang's Big Sis ten years ago! Right now, they're trying to get to the core of rumours becoming reality, and get back all the skulls that were a part of that. She's been pulled out just before they got to the now-present spaceship, so that's… a little stressful! She's sure the others can handle it, though. Surely.

PLANS:

What better way to get used to being in the city proper than quests? Maya will be eager to get stuck in and help out!

I'm thinking she'll sign up for Claus for Alarm (…did the description make anyone else think of Taskmaster?), so that should be fun! I think she'll be particularly interested in Ghosts of Teatimes Past and hearing what stories she can, so I'd really like to do that! Happy Pawlidays and Snow Place Like Home could be fun and get some CR moving? Get some footprints immortalised maybe! For play quests, I think December, First and Conspiracy Cracking would catch her interest? Especially considering, well, she's a reporter, with one negiotation skill being Interview!

ABOUT:

Impmon started off as a vicious little jackass. His tamers were a pair of toddler siblings who constantly fought over him and took him for granted, so he rejected them and rejected humans altogether, but envied other Digimon who partnered with humans because of their power to digivolve and their positive relationships with the humans in question.

Desperate for the power to digivolve, he made a deal with some powerful Digimon in exchange for the ability to become Beelzemon, an insanely powerful Digimon. Drunk on power, he confronted the other Digimon and humans, killed one of the partner Digimon, and was narrowly defeated. The partner of the Digimon he killed fell into despair and became a vessel/power source for the D-Reaper, an out-of-control program that wanted to delete reality. Impmon got several reality checks, reconciled with his tamers, and helped the other Digimon fight the D-Reaper, almost dying in the process. As a result, he's... trying to be a better person now. Key word is "trying."

He doesn't care for this Sableye nonsense, but he'll still do his best to help out. His best isn't much.

PLANS:

I did poorly in November, hoping to improve matters in December.

Impmon has been helping out here and there for a certain value of helping out and he's been making a markedly negative impression on the community. Basically, everybody he's met has disliked him, because he sucks. He's trying to act like it doesn't bother him. It does. He's also trying to act like it's not his fault. It is.

This month, most of the quests are too social for his liking, but he'll at least try to clean snow and salt roads with people, so he's interested in the Snow Place Like Home quest. On the player quest end, he's also willing to help the clinic in When It Rains It Suds. (I think he might wind up taking a liking to soapmaking.)

Shoka got a kick out of teasing him in their first encounter but secretly she might also see a bit of herself in him (in that he's a jerk who kind of sucks and acts arrogant but is inwardly insecure and trying his best [?]), so she could drag him into doing a quest with her for funsies (and maybe even some personal growth!??! who knows)...it sounds like she's making fun of him but really she's just riling him up so he puts his all into this soap-making junk

alternatively, perhaps they both sign up for the quest and get paired up by some outside force if he wouldn't agree to work with her after the aforementioned teasing LMAO
