New quests are released! Sign-ups will open officially on the 3rd of this month, so until then, here's a plotting post for you all to get your Duckletts in a row! Before we hop right into things, though, here are the tallies from total quest points!

ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We don't currently list guild leaders, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

NOTES: This is a Secret Santa Form! Rather than a typical Heavy Quest, you may submit this form alone, in order to participate in this year’s IC Secret Santa event.

For your initial summary submission, please include what other characters would be able to glean - from observation or asking other characters - about your character’s IC likes, dislikes, preferences, and any other details. Submissions will close on the 10th of December, after which we will hand out everyone’s Secret Santa assignments!

As a final note, while there is no thread requirement for this quest, follow-up responses/gifts must be delivered by the 30th of December - anyone who fails to do so will not receive their points!

As we approach the end of the year, the Lum Guild is seeking more records to add to our shelves from newer additions to the community. We invite all Pokemon with stories to share to the Archives, in order to record tales of their homeland within our halls.

The tunnels of the Spire are very expansive, and every year the Oran Guild has more and more to decorate for our longest night. I am requesting as many as possible to come and help us decorate our halls.

PS - There may be wet clay, but it should not harm anyone who steps in it.

We have done well to clean up from the recent storm, but there is still much work to be done. I need as many Pokemon as possible to clear and salt our snow covered roadways and bridges.

INCOMING EVENTS

Snow, music, and festivities - it seems that as the longest night approaches, a party is in the works! A Mysterious Pokemon will be making their appearance late in the month, bringing their own unique spin on old traditions. How will you share the spirit of the night? A good meal? A treasured gift?

Also, did anyone just see a red-tailed Treecko disappear into the bushes?

As an additional note, Player Suggestions are now being welcomed via our Helper Mod Contact Page - this has technically always been the case, but we wanted to make it clear as we prepare to enter our second year at Bottlecap Bay. While we cannot guarantee a suggested event will be included in our line-up, we welcome the many ideas our creative players have, and look forward to potentially incorporating these in future posts!

ABOUT:

Imagine someone took Disney's entire canon, put it in a blender, and then scattered it all over an original princess fairy tale setting, and you get the Sofia the First universe. Then imagine a scrawny royal sorcerer whom everyone thought was a screwup because of one childhood misunderstanding, so he tried to take over his boss' kingdom as a desperate attempt to prove his worth.

Now imagine that instead he was thwarted by the love of a seven-to-twelve-year-old child just because she was the only one with unwavering faith in his abilities and even called out those who doubted him. Sounds pathetic, right? Except it worked, and with newfound external confidence, he improved, to the point where he was the one who successfully conjured a spell to save that same child from eternal confinement in her own amulet, the same one he was initially pursuing for domination. All he lost in return was his longtime raven companion who now thinks he's a wuss.

PLANS:

Overall, Cedric's doing pretty good! He's got some Pokes he calls friends, others he pleasantly tolerates, others he reluctantly tolerates, it's great! He's also diving further into figuring out what's up in this strange Pokéworld, and still trying to learn a Psychic-type move that I will insistently prolong just to vex him.

This month, I'll be away in Québec for a week, so I don't expect to be as active as I was the last two months. That being said, I'm planning a Grumpearl post from him before I go (sometime this week), and I do want him involved in the Secret Santa and the quest Happy Pawlidays... since he's much more festive than he lets on. If anyone has any other delightful fluff Wassailia- I mean Christmas- I mean, holiday plans they want to do with him, I'm all ears - just be forewarned that some of my tags might be delayed.

This is very silly, and we can handwave it, but I'd like to think Bigby and Cedric would go holiday shopping (bartering??) for Noelle together. Two girl dads trying their absolute hardest not to muck it up for the girl who loves holidays. What could go wrong.

Ohmygod yes, they would be such an awkward, bickering mess about the whole thing. "This teen fills me with holiday goo, b-but I'm still a man who knows what I'm doing, really!" Handwave or not, I need this in my life ASAP.

Two losers overthinking the right gift and fighting over it for hours, totally ruining the holiday spirit she was going for all along......but when they do finally agree on something......it's a Hallmark miracle......

I am fully on board with throwing the gremlin towards poor Cedric for Happy Pawlidays. Downside, she's used to Wormsmas, so she might encourage the worm on a string for decorations or hunting for a goose to place on the roof of the spire (Catrina no I don't think there's a roof..honey..no..)

I can definitely see this, especially once the Goose on the Roof comes up, 'We need a goose for our roof, alcohol as payment, and a knife so it can fight off the Woozelworm. We got this!"

SUMMARY: Despite Anasui and Cedric's previous success with finding a lost Pokemon, they're still barely a team. Held mostly together by their mutual fondness for Noelle, these two will be blaming
each other for not finding the Pokemon Noelle is looking for, despite it being a wild goosechase. Anasui aggravating Cedric about being unable to use psychic moves will also not help the situation.
