New quests are released! Sign-ups will open officially on the 3rd of this month, so until then, here's a plotting post for you all to get your Duckletts in a row! Before we hop right into things, though, here are the tallies from total quest points!

ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We don't currently list guild leaders, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

Congratulations to Ingo and Flowey, for achieving the next tier of accommodation! You are free to assume at any time during the month, that your Guild Leader has approached you with an offer to move into Middle Tier Housing; as this is an optional upgrade, you are also free to remain in Lower Tier Housing instead.

NOTES: This is a Secret Santa Form! Rather than a typical Heavy Quest, you may submit this form alone, in order to participate in this year’s IC Secret Santa event.

For your initial summary submission, please include what other characters would be able to glean - from observation or asking other characters - about your character’s IC likes, dislikes, preferences, and any other details. Submissions will close on the 10th of December, after which we will hand out everyone’s Secret Santa assignments!

As we approach the end of the year, the Lum Guild is seeking more records to add to our shelves from newer additions to the community. We invite all Pokemon with stories to share to the Archives, in order to record tales of their homeland within our halls.

The tunnels of the Spire are very expansive, and every year the Oran Guild has more and more to decorate for our longest night. I am requesting as many as possible to come and help us decorate our halls.

We have done well to clean up from the recent storm, but there is still much work to be done. I need as many Pokemon as possible to clear and salt our snow covered roadways and bridges.

Snow, music, and festivities - it seems that as the longest night approaches, a party is in the works! A Mysterious Pokemon will be making their appearance late in the month, bringing their own unique spin on old traditions. How will you share the spirit of the night? A good meal? A treasured gift?

Also, did anyone just see a red-tailed Treecko disappear into the bushes?

As an additional note, Player Suggestions are now being welcomed via our Helper Mod Contact Page - this has technically always been the case, but we wanted to make it clear as we prepare to enter our second year at Bottlecap Bay. While we cannot guarantee a suggested event will be included in our line-up, we welcome the many ideas our creative players have, and look forward to potentially incorporating these in future posts!

ABOUT:

Sometimes you're just a little rogue guy on a country-saving adventure with their friends, and then you have the misfortune of dying in the final dungeon and getting stuck looping the last two days. For a long, long time. Not that you talk about any of that anyway, but that's it, that's definitely all there is to it!

(spoilers)

Siffrin (Start Again) is a past iteration of Siffrin who was stuck in the time loop for years, broke down enough to give up, and made a wish for it to be "over," for "someone to help [them]." Wish Craft granted their wish by yanking them out of the timeline and replacing them with a fresh Siffrin. Loop is an annoying, catty, obnoxiously sparkly star-headed tutorial guy here to guide Siffrin with the time loops! Friendly helpful Loop, the only one besides you who gets to remember! Isn't it nice to have someone to talk to? You'd probably completely lose it if you were all by yourself, stardust!!

They totally have no other relation to Siffrin or the party at all. Definitely don't have a lot of messy unprocessed feelings about Siffrin escaping the loops and continuing on with what used to be their life. Nope! Just your local star, Loop!

Except they didn't remember any of that until very recently and they spent their first 6 months in Bottlecap Bay being Siffrin. So they're struggling to pretend otherwise now. Whoops!

While other characters may remember Siffrin trying to come off as a helpful, friendly jokester, Siffrin currently tries to present themself as obnoxiously cheerful, confident, and even a little bit mean-spirited. (Underneath, though, they're still very lonely and just might be ready to die for you if you give them positive attention for, like, a day. They also have even more of a chronic issue of not being honest about their problems, including to themself!)

Strongly recommending checking my permissions/opt out HERE to make sure there's nothing you want to opt out of! Otherwise: for canon point reasons, I'm sticking to they/them pronouns for them myself, but he/him is also fine.

So... the other Siffrin just dropped and this Siffrin is feeling all sorts of ways about that. They are, of course, Not Talking About Any Of It. It's fine we're fine moving on!

But it does mean they're spending a lot of time around the clinic this month! So: HERE HAVE A PLAYER QUEST. I promised Soapquest on Plurk a month or two ago, come make some soap.

I'm planning to keep things pretty quiet this month otherwise! That said: I am going to be signing Siffrin up for CLAUS FOR ALARM (they are going to be under the misconception that it's just a delivery quest), and I would like them to go on all of the mod quests. So if anyone wants to continue CR with one of those (whether handwaved or threaded) hit me up!

They will also figure out that a holiday with gifts is happening partway through the month and they may make... An Attempt for closer CR. Please hold.

ACTUALLY RELATEDLY... if anyone happened to have slightly closer CR with the other Siffrin, this Siffrin might feel Obligated to "cover" for him in his coma and get them a present too. Don't ask. The two of them are weird like this. So if you'd like to do something with this, also hit me up!

ANYTHING ELSE:

Super excited to be plotting this one X3 What did you have in mind for Siffrinx and Dollyeon's stargazing? >:3c I know for sure Dolly would be trying to get a star map made.

You know I am considering it and I'm actually not sure Siffrinx would even have thought of making a star map! They're so used to stuff like constellations falling out of their head, that must apply to star maps as well... (but as it turns out, that only applies to stars from their home world, so Bopbay stars should be safe)

So Dolly could always catch them stargazing just because, and then rope them into star mapping...

I know Andrea was also considering the stargazing club seeing northern lights or a meteor shower somewhere, if that happens I vote we should totally hook Siffrinx and Dolly's stargazing onto that!

I like the idea big time of Dolly walking in on Siffrin stargazing and brings them along for the star mapping during it. I can see that one getting a really fun CR going there should they start conversing about the stars together.

Also true :o I'm definitely game for hooking Siffrinx and Dollyeon's stargazing into the northern lights or meteor showers. (I blame it on folklore, but I always think of foxes for the northern lights. It'd be hilarious/adorable if there's a bunch of Alolan Vulpixes out there causing the northern lights with aurora veil)
