New quests are released! Sign-ups will open officially on the 3rd of this month, so until then, here's a plotting post for you all to get your Duckletts in a row! Before we hop right into things, though, here are the tallies from total quest points!

⟡ MEMBER RANKING
ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We don't currently list guild leaders, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

Congratulations to Ingo and Flowey, for achieving the next tier of accommodation! You are free to assume at any time during the month, that your Guild Leader has approached you with an offer to move into Middle Tier Housing; as this is an optional upgrade, you are also free to remain in Lower Tier Housing instead.

NOTES: This is a Secret Santa Form! Rather than a typical Heavy Quest, you may submit this form alone, in order to participate in this year’s IC Secret Santa event.

For your initial summary submission, please include what other characters would be able to glean - from observation or asking other characters - about your character’s IC likes, dislikes, preferences, and any other details. Submissions will close on the 10th of December, after which we will hand out everyone’s Secret Santa assignments!

As a final note, while there is no thread requirement for this quest, follow-up responses/gifts must be delivered by the 30th of December - anyone who fails to do so will not receive their points!

As we approach the end of the year, the Lum Guild is seeking more records to add to our shelves from newer additions to the community. We invite all Pokemon with stories to share to the Archives, in order to record tales of their homeland within our halls.

The tunnels of the Spire are very expansive, and every year the Oran Guild has more and more to decorate for our longest night. I am requesting as many as possible to come and help us decorate our halls.

PS - There may be wet clay, but it should not harm anyone who steps in it.

We have done well to clean up from the recent storm, but there is still much work to be done. I need as many Pokemon as possible to clear and salt our snow covered roadways and bridges.

INCOMING EVENTS

Snow, music, and festivities - it seems that as the longest night approaches, a party is in the works! A Mysterious Pokemon will be making their appearance late in the month, bringing their own unique spin on old traditions. How will you share the spirit of the night? A good meal? A treasured gift?

Also, did anyone just see a red-tailed Treecko disappear into the bushes?

As an additional note, Player Suggestions are now being welcomed via our Helper Mod Contact Page - this has technically always been the case, but we wanted to make it clear as we prepare to enter our second year at Bottlecap Bay. While we cannot guarantee a suggested event will be included in our line-up, we welcome the many ideas our creative players have, and look forward to potentially incorporating these in future posts!

Well, it helps that his dumb ass can't read, so he never really pays attention to who he's getting signed up with until they're both, y'know, there.

So yes, definitely. Honestly, wanting to Prove A Point to the rude napkin Shoka might be exactly the motivation he needs to get motivated and take it seriously. (And the idea of him actually taking to such a random craft is deeply amusing to me.)

that's perfect!! Shoka will probably be not great at soap-making (she's only really gunning to do the quest because it's Siffrin's quest and they're one of her best friends...but she's actually secretly a tiny bit terrified of ruining her disguise rag during the process 😭) so Impmon may actually get to see a glimpse of her genuinely impressed and grateful. don't make a big deal out of it or anything!!

here's the summary:

"Shoka and Impmon have never worked together before and have in fact only had one (1) contentious encounter with each other, but Shoka is determined to make the team-up work for the Siffrins' sake (and for the sake of the clinic, of course). To any onlookers, it will seem like she's mercilessly making fun of Impmon for absolutely no reason, but really she's just trying to rile him up to encourage him to put his all into this soapmaking stuff. Surprisingly, this method will actually work on Impmon, as proving a point to the rude napkin Shoka might be the exact motivation he needs to take the quest seriously.

Ultimately, he'll find that he actually genuinely enjoys soapmaking. Shoka, meanwhile, held back by an instinctual fear of ruining her disguise rag during the process, won't be the best at it, so Impmon picking up the slack a bit will earn him some genuine gratitude and respect."
