New quests are released! Sign-ups will open officially on the 3rd of this month, so until then, here's a plotting post for you all to get your Duckletts in a row! Before we hop right into things, though, here are the tallies from total quest points!

ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We don't currently list guild leaders, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

NOTES: This is a Secret Santa Form! Rather than a typical Heavy Quest, you may submit this form alone, in order to participate in this year’s IC Secret Santa event.

For your initial summary submission, please include what other characters would be able to glean - from observation or asking other characters - about your character’s IC likes, dislikes, preferences, and any other details. Submissions will close on the 10th of December, after which we will hand out everyone’s Secret Santa assignments!

As we approach the end of the year, the Lum Guild is seeking more records to add to our shelves from newer additions to the community. We invite all Pokemon with stories to share to the Archives, in order to record tales of their homeland within our halls.

The tunnels of the Spire are very expansive, and every year the Oran Guild has more and more to decorate for our longest night. I am requesting as many as possible to come and help us decorate our halls.

We have done well to clean up from the recent storm, but there is still much work to be done. I need as many Pokemon as possible to clear and salt our snow covered roadways and bridges.

INCOMING EVENTS

Snow, music, and festivities - it seems that as the longest night approaches, a party is in the works! A Mysterious Pokemon will be making their appearance late in the month, bringing their own unique spin on old traditions. How will you share the spirit of the night? A good meal? A treasured gift?

Also, did anyone just see a red-tailed Treecko disappear into the bushes?

As an additional note, Player Suggestions are now being welcomed via our Helper Mod Contact Page - this has technically always been the case, but we wanted to make it clear as we prepare to enter our second year at Bottlecap Bay. While we cannot guarantee a suggested event will be included in our line-up, we welcome the many ideas our creative players have, and look forward to potentially incorporating these in future posts!

ABOUT: I've been RPing with Andrea for over 15 years now, and our earliest characters were Pokémon so we've come full circle back in a Pokémon RP. Dragged myself bloody and battered out of the Black November sale (aka I got a cold right as the sale was wrapping up) and hoping to find some of that "work-life balance" I've heard so much about.

ABOUT:

Kinger was originally a human, a long time ago, but for the last unknown amount of time (implied to be decades) he has been trapped in the digital avatar of a chess piece inside of a digital realm from which there is no escape. Which is why it took him a while to accept that he had, in fact, escaped into a different fantasy realm. Kinger has incredibly poor memory and focus, only being able to gather his thoughts when he's in the dark.

Kinger has been pretty hard to find for the past month: he's been popping up to help out with odd jobs inexplicably and then fucking off as quickly as he arrived. ~~AKA the only thing I had Kinger pop up for last month was a brief TDM appearance and everything else was backtagging~~

I'm going to try to be more active this month. Definitely going to try and wrap all of my October threads, hopefully will be able to do at least 2-3 tags per day once I kick this sickness. 🤒 Going to do Secret Santa because why not, otherwise I'm going to be focused on building CR whether that happens in a quest environment or just freely. I will be bringing in a character next month who will be more quest motivated, so I will feel less bad about my 9" amnesiac mushroom being unhelpful in 90% of quests lmao. I'll probably do Ghosts of Teatimes Past, but I have no idea who I would partner with.

ANYTHING ELSE:

Perhaps Kinger would enjoy a goofy Digimon partner for teatime? Both have experience with digital worlds.

Guilmon's is just... different.

That sounds fun! Kinger has been curious about these "digivolving" people since Cedric brought them up.

Not sure if you're still up for this (not that we need to thread it or there's a rule against Guilmon participating twice if you already have) but I wrote up a summary:

PLAYERS: Holly and Mega
CHARACTERS: Kinger and Guilmon
QUEST: Ghosts of Teatimes Past
SUMMARY: While Kinger and Guilmon are maybe not the most focused of scholars, meeting in a dark place with Guilmon's tail flame and Kinger's bioluminescent mushrooms to write by lets Kinger focus enough to take notes.

Kinger's knowledge of computer science is enough to explain the basic idea of a digital world to someone not familiar, and Guilmon and Kinger are able to narrow down the most unique features of the Digimon world and the Digital Circus in comparison to one another. Things that one might take for granted is noted down as soon as the other expresses surprise in it, as that's confirmation it's wholely unique to their world.

That looks good to me! c: I am down to thread as well.
