New quests are released! Sign-ups will open officially on the 3rd of this month, so until then, here's a plotting post for you all to get your Duckletts in a row! Before we hop right into things, though, here are the tallies from total quest points!

ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We didn't list guild leaders this time, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

We are facing an unprecedented circumstance as numerous Lum Researchers tasked with making contact with a Pokemon known as Decidueye have since gone entirely missing. Our witness and local guide, Chimecho, states that she was leading them through the area beyond the cliffs when they were set upon by a thick, heavy fog, not unlike what recently blanketed our forest region and bay. We have little understanding of what to expect. While Pokemon taking up this quest will be teleported in with the Lum's prototype room, after retrieving the Lum Research team, Pokemon must be prepared to make their own way back to the Bay through unknown and possibly dangerous terrain. Prepare for anything - adaptation will be key.

POINTS REWARDED: 300 points (200 points for failure)
EXTRA REWARDS?: Potential for plot information (if successful), risk of consequence (nothing to ever ruin your time in game).

As reaching the mountains beyond the Spire is easier said than done, Spinarak has begun a city project to erect safe stairways and walkways along the cliffside to make it easier for future travellers. Please help them with either constructing, or gathering the necessary materials.

Some of the rescued Minior from last month have been able to make their own way back to the sky, but others still need a little help. We need Pokemon to help construct two large catapults for launching Minior into the upper atmosphere... and others to man the devices when they're constructed! (Alternate methods of launching Minior are also welcome.)

ABOUT: Full-time disabled guy living in the EST time zone with his husband. I'm dealing with ME/CFS and brain problems (I know, it's DWRP, but look--), which is not nearly as exciting as it sounds and is mostly responsible for me being slow to tag because I sleep 16 hours a day and I'm also training a service dog! I was a dog trainer before ME/CFS happened to me, so this is my second time training my own... but my first time training my own while I have ME/CFS, which turns out to be harder. I am a big horror fan and I also really like Homestuck (including the Post Canon), Neon Genesis Evangelion (including the manga and Rebuild), Pokemon (wow, shocker!) and Naoki Urasawa's work.

Simon is a horrendously traumatised man who is actually hoping he DIED at the end of the horror movie he just experienced, because the alternative really is that much worse. He is also hoping that his actions manage to help humanity survive, but he really can't do anything about either one now, which is. Fine. That's fine. He's coping.

Admittedly, he was deeply traumatised BEFORE the horror movie events, frankly, because being raised in a death cult and killing people while an actual cosmic apocalypse is progressively ending humanity is not good for your mental or emotional health. He's a bit emotionally stunted and has some anger problems, but he's enamoured of this place. He'd only ever seen one tree in his LIFE before now, and simply seeing the trees and life and nature and all of that is regularly overwhelming him with emotion. Mostly in a good way! He's kind of awkward and blunt, and he'd like to help out but he's easily frustrated and doesn't like collectives with a clear leader.... so Ribombee is kind of fudging the rules around points and he's politely not swearing at a talking bug. Compromise!

PLANS:

Simon will be checking out the Light Quest work sites, but he has no limbs, no real "body" except for a ball of energy, and his real goal at the moment is figuring out how to fly--and then figuring out how to fly consistently--but he does want to help out here! So anyone with any ideas on how a limbless mostly-orb-shaped being can assist in anything is welcome to invite him to try. Otherwise he's just getting his bearings and learning the ropes of "existing while a space ball." He'd also like to be able to see without dropping his rock shields, but that seems harder. In the meantime, his method of navigation is eerily reminiscent of steering the sub: he drops his shields, looks at where he is, calculates where to go, and goes there before dropping his shields again to see where he is. Sorry if he rolls into you, but clearly someone needs to look where they're going and since it can't be him... maybe it needs to be you?

GOD. I mean, yeah, he WOULD make the BEST test subject for accuracy but actually he is EXTREMELY done with being the exploratory guinea pig for voyages! I wonder why!!! (He might be a good MODEL to base a less "actually him" test dummy on, though...?)

.... and with my acceptance, I think he might very well start out staying in his "own" housing but then move out because. Staying in a place given to him by the guild for being in the guild is just stressful for reasons he can't explain. (HMMM.) At which point he can end up at Emporio's?

P.S. I'm.... not sure Simon knows what fleas are. WHICH IS REALLY FUNNY ACTUALLY.

(It's such a good sticker!!! Bcap Simon has no idea how lucky he is that he doesn't have a real eye to be blind in. Or... limbs to have amputated/injured...)

And I know I've said it before but thank you for being patient with me--I'm definitely down to multithread, in that case! I have only played one Bioshock game and it's the first one so I know the basics but not HER basics... which means Simon and I can learn together. It'll be great, and probably only sometimes traumatic.

Okay with that out of the way, I think Ren would be so much fun to throw at Simon. Dunno what you'd be down to but they could just run into each other, or do a (light) quest. traumatized-but-good-at-hiding-it teenager with a too strong sense of justice and a traumatized guy who got thrown into a sea of blood. Should be awesome! If you want, that is, hehe.

I'd be delighted! Simon is going to be struggling to find a way to be useful this month so that could be a good hook? Quest, and half the quest is "what do you do when you have no hands or feets or limbs or consistent ability to fly, but you really want to be helpful?"

Alternatively he could fail at flying practise and fall on Ren. What's a concussion between new acquaintances?
