ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We didn't list guild leaders this time, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. We are facing an unprecedented circumstance as numerous Lum Researchers tasked with making contact with a Pokemon known as Decidueye have since gone entirely missing. Our witness and local guide, Chimecho, states that she was leading them through the area beyond the cliffs when they were set upon by a thick, heavy fog, not unlike what recently blanketed our forest region and bay. We have little understanding of what to expect. While Pokemon taking up this quest will be teleported in with the Lum's prototype room, after retrieving the Lum Research team, Pokemon must be prepared to make their own way back to the Bay through unknown and possibly dangerous terrain. Prepare for anything - adaptation will be key.

As reaching the mountains beyond the Spire is easier said than done, Spinarak has begun a city project to erect safe stairways and walkways along the cliffside to make it easier for future travellers. Please help them with either constructing, or gathering the necessary materials.

Emporio!! Emporio grew up in the worst possible place for a kid (jail), hidden (somehow), and as such has spent the last year kinda learning how to..beeeeee a kid? Now that spring is REALLY here, he'll hopefully go and take the advice he's been handed and set up some baseball, because boy, he used to look like he should know how to play. REALLY smart kid, also utterly loaded with trauma, but he's got a good heart so come on, make friends with the cubone.

mayaka kept to herself last month! while bread was on hiatus, she locked in and spent most of her time reading in the archives and finishing the draft of her manga one-shot she was rushing to submit to a competition before winding up in bottlecap bay. current things on mayaka's mind include:

- what she is going to do with her completed manga draft
- anxiety re: losing her human-ness and becoming too comfy being a pokemon
- after getting egged on by flowey, encouraged by bigby and trained by ume, she feels she should put more effort into training (maybe she'll learn a new move!)

Also I think these two could be interesting to throw at each other! Jack is... difficult, but he likes being around people who will carry the conversation for him because he doesn't/can't talk much. And he likes drawing, even though he isn't good at it and he's going to be markedly worse with his new Teddiursa paws. His opinions about manga are going to be extremely rudimentary (he's from before it was popular in the US and he hasn't read that many comics either) but he sure is willing to listen to her chatter about it.

ABOUT:

Jack is a 24-year-old from 1950's Kansas who was the only survivor in a plane crash that landed him directly on top of the underwater city of Rapture. He went down there out of curiosity, immediately got trapped and then spent ten hours fighting for his life to get back out. He's still very early in the process of recovering from that, which is why he doesn't speak much. And why he is... deeply, intensely, weird.

More spoiler-heavy description: Jack is a 4-year-old test tube baby from Rapture, implanted with the false memories of a 24-year-old from Kansas, who was created specifically as a sleeper agent to kill his father and then turned out to be too good at survival for his creator to be able to kill him off after that was done. He is in the middle of picking up the pieces after finding all of that out, and regaining enough of his real memories to not recognize the person in his false memories at all. He is very desperately in need of guidance and compassion, although his programming won't allow him to talk very much so he can't get much of that across. BUT he makes a perfect bodyguard because he is very used to just killing everything in his path to get his goals done.

PLANS:

I don't have much of a plan, just getting settled! Jack has less than zero interest in the point system, he honestly thinks it's stupid to worry about it, but he's very eager to tag along for quests (especially for anyone he met during the TDM). I'm gonna try to keep those TDM threads going too and wrap them up properly...

I'm especially leaning toward Over The Brink, Ditto To That and Steel Yourselves. Jack's a very good ally to have any time that fighting is involved, even in his new body - he's very adaptive, and he's going to learn how to move as a Teddiursa very quickly. And as for Steel Yourselves, he's already gonna be in the Spire so he may as well help out with mining.

ALL OF THE THINGS. Ritsuka will naturally jump at the chance to help with quests, so pretty much any/all of those are on the table! Then there's getting to know her new guildmates (and possibly roommates?), learning how to properly use this body, etc. Her canon point is one that gives her a lot of flexibility in character direction too, so I'm more than happy to throw her at pretty much anything and anyone just to see what sticks.

He may have been brought back from a tragic and untimely end in a limbless, soulless form that left him unable to feel love, and he may have reset the timeline an unknowable amount of times until everyone around him felt like nothing but arbitrary lines of code to him, but it's fine don't worry about it.

Flowey has made a few steps forward (and a few steps back) in trying to improve himself since he got here and he's living his edgiest tween life right now... mostly.

PLANS:

Getting back into the swing of things. I'd be happy for him to do Over the Brink and Going Up, and maybe short threads or handwaves for other light quests. He has one planned with Emporio and Mayaka to confront him about the Grumpearl Incident from a while back, but otherwise, he's begrudgingly continuing on his journey of self-improvement. He will almost certainly not evolve this month, but it would be great for him to work towards it in the future.

Oh boy, time to condense this Fae Queen's background! Now, Dolly has been tossed about as of recently from her original home on Tir Na Nog, to Earth, then to Doriene by accident, and now the Pokemon World. After getting sorted into Lum Berry, Dolly has been having a pretty good and easy time adjusting with her guild mates along with getting glasses crafted for her. She's officially shaken off the scare from the dream share and is pretty close to normal...ish.

Heading into the personality department, Dolly most of the time, is pretty reserved in her own right, only letting loose her enthusiasm and excitement when something of her interests comes up. Dolly likes to keep calm and see if things can be talked through first before getting into fights. Dolly is very much full of wonder about the world around now that she is out for the first time. Sharing fun stories, especially ghost stories, are a very good way of getting Dolly to like people and in return will share stories that she knows of. Dolly is afraid of the dark thanks to where she came from and can get anxious at times. She can also sass a bit when the right buttons are pushed. The only time Dolly will fight is if she’s being threatened and even then, Dolly is the kind to hold back big time to avoid doing serious harm. Should be noted, Dolly likes to pun, a lot...

PLANS:

I am so down for the light quests for Dolly since she's still really REALLY uneasy about the Waystations...the Tiniest Sylveon has voiced her opinion on the matter and seen 'The Fly' one too many times. Your character is welcome to try and convince her though! If walking to the location is still an option instead of the teleporting, then Dolly will be a bit easier about going on the heavy quest.

Ren has been here since the start, and he's learned a thing or two about being a Pokemon, and about himself. He's still the same reckless, showy Phantom Thief we all know and love, but he's gotten a bit calmer while being here... mostly out of necessity. He got hit early on with supernatural nightmares, and still has a nasty forehead scar and chronic pain as a result. He's learned to live with it, mostly, but sometimes needs to be reminded to sit down and rest. He just cares a lot about his friends and about doing the right thing! (note: the right thing may not always be what you expect. He can be a bit of a troll, after all.)

He and Akechi have also entered a relationship, but they're still competing all the time! In fact, isn't this relationship a bit of a competition in itself...? Scary!

For christmas, he also got his Phantom Thief outfit back, made to fit his Pokemon form. Swanky!

PLANS:

Back from hiatus and ready to tag! I'll probably tag back my remaining threads in the weekend.

Other than that, Dorked and I have plans for Akechi and Ren to do Over the Brink together, but if someone wants to join, that's cool. That aside, Ren is open for all light quests, so if you'd like to have him along, gimme a shout!

Formerly the notorious Big Bad Wolf of fairytale fame, Bigby is now the exhausted sheriff of Fabletown in New York City circa the 1980s. Despite wanting to move on from his brutal past, his fellow Fables aren’t so easily convinced that he’s around to serve their best interests even after centuries on the job already. There’s a part of him that doesn’t think he deserves their forgiveness either, that he’s just suppressing the monster he really is, but he’s desperate to keep trying to protect those who need him.

He often skirts the line between sympathetic and ruthless depending on the situation, but in general, he’s mostly just rough around the edges and maybe a little sarcastic on his best days. Bigby can be pretty quick on picking things up too, but his short temper can easily lead him astray when pushed enough. Simon is a horrendously traumatised man who is actually hoping he DIED at the end of the horror movie he just experienced, because the alternative really is that much worse. He is also hoping that his actions manage to help humanity survive, but he really can't do anything about either one now, which is. Fine. That's fine. He's coping.

Admittedly, he was deeply traumatised BEFORE the horror movie events, frankly, because being raised in a death cult and killing people while an actual cosmic apocalypse is progressively ending humanity is not good for your mental or emotional health. He's a bit emotionally stunted and has some anger problems, but he's enamoured of this place. He'd only ever seen one tree in his LIFE before now, and simply seeing the trees and life and nature and all of that is regularly overwhelming him with emotion. Mostly in a good way! He's kind of awkward and blunt, and he'd like to help out but he's easily frustrated and doesn't like collectives with a clear leader.... so Ribombee is kind of fudging the rules around points and he's politely not swearing at a talking bug. Compromise!

PLANS:

Simon will be checking out the Light Quest work sites, but he has no limbs, no real "body" except for a ball of energy, and his real goal at the moment is figuring out how to fly--and then figuring out how to fly consistently--but he does want to help out here! So anyone with any ideas on how a limbless mostly-orb-shaped being can assist in anything is welcome to invite him to try. Otherwise he's just getting his bearings and learning the ropes of "existing while a space ball." He'd also like to be able to see without dropping his rock shields, but that seems harder. In the meantime, his method of navigation is eerily reminiscent of steering the sub: he drops his shields, looks at where he is, calculates where to go, and goes there before dropping his shields again to see where he is. Sorry if he rolls into you, but clearly someone needs to look where they're going and since it can't be him... maybe it needs to be you?

Imagine someone took Disney's entire canon, put it in a blender, and then scattered it all over an original princess fairy tale setting, and you get the Sofia the First universe. Then imagine a scrawny royal sorcerer whom everyone thought was a screwup because of one childhood misunderstanding, so he tried to take over his boss' kingdom as a desperate attempt to prove his worth.

Now imagine that instead he was thwarted by the love of a seven-to-twelve-year-old child just because she was the only one with unwavering faith in his abilities and even called out those who doubted him. Sounds pathetic, right? Except it worked, and with newfound external confidence, he improved, to the point where he was the one who successfully conjured a spell to save that same child from eternal confinement in her own amulet, the same one he was initially pursuing for domination. All he lost in return was his longtime raven companion who now thinks he's a wuss.

PLANS:

Brief summary of the State of Cedric in Bottlecap Bay:
• He has a healthy number of contacts he either dearly calls friends or reluctantly tolerates
• He's so frustrated by the Archive's disorganisation that he's this close to offering himself up as the local Archivist (or, more likely, he'll prompt an election for an NPC to take the mantle).
• He's accumulated a collection of evolution stones and other shiny objects and is naturally drawn to them (thanks, Murkrow instincts!)
• On a related note, he has some misgivings about the potential of evolution, mostly because Honchkrow's form reminds him too much of his father. I think he'll... eventually get over this, but he needs more self-confidence as a Pokémon, and thus...
• He perceives Psychic type as the most "magic" type in the Pokémon world, and has been striving to learn a move to regain some of his innate talent. I'm intentionally prolonging this as long as possible so he'll learn to embrace the moves he's naturally learning. He's... getting there.

I'm intentionally cutting back on threads this month so I don't bog myself down with old ones. Therefore, I am seeking exclusively a group for the Over the Brink Heavy Quest, but otherwise will leave myself open for whatever happens in the event log. She’s generally optimistic, trying to keep the other’s spirits up and help direct them (though honestly, I’d say she’s got a strong case of ‘expressing painful emotions upsets the people around you and that’ll go badly’ which she’s not really dealing with.). Something of a workaholic, and definitely nosy! At the canonpoint I’ve taken her from, they’re tracking down the last skull out of five that apparently should be able to control the spaceship Xilbalba and the man who took it. The whole thing came about because of the rumours As this involves personal issues for her friends, Maya’s not particularly eager to share details. …also because the main issue is the prophecy most of Sumaru City currently believes in, by which the world will end, but. Hoping to do quests this month! Maya’s pretty open for everything- although I’m not sure I’ll be able to manage Infestigation very well personally, so maybe not that. Goro Akechi suffered an awful life due to societal stigmas against illegitimate children and the children of sex workers, made worse by his mother's death and years cycling through orphanages and neglectful foster homes. Eventually he awakened a power he barely understood and, jaded by a life of pain, decided to hatch a stupid revenge plan against his father that led to him effectively being a child assassin masquerading as a prettyboy detective. Fun!

Akechi has since dropped his "detective prince" mask and is now a very jaded, aloof, and serious person who is still fiercely determined to prove himself, uncover the mysteries of this world. He sees this world as a fresh start and is trying to be a better person, but is highly suspicious of certain a uthority figures like Ribombee and, to a certain extent, Polteageist. He, Ren, and Flowey also kinda sorta have an unofficial detective trio thing going. Additionally, he's super invested in documenting and solving the mysteries of this world and has copious notes as well as a conspiracy wall to track everything.

Impmon started off as a vicious little jackass. His tamers were a pair of toddler siblings who constantly fought over him and took him for granted, so he rejected them and rejected humans altogether, but envied other Digimon who partnered with humans because of their power to digivolve and their positive relationships with the humans in question.

Desperate for the power to digivolve, he made a deal with some powerful Digimon in exchange for the ability to become Beelzemon, an insanely powerful Digimon. Drunk on power, he confronted the other Digimon and humans, killed one of the partner Digimon, and was narrowly defeated. The partner of the Digimon he killed fell into despair and became a vessel/power source for the D-Reaper, an out-of-control program that wanted to delete reality. Impmon got several reality checks, reconciled with his tamers, and helped the other Digimon fight the D-Reaper, almost dying in the process. As a result, he's... trying to be a better person now. Key word is "trying."

He's decided that he likes making soap, so he's gonna be a little obsessed with that for a while.

Firoza is my Warrior of Light from the critically acclaimed MMORPG etc etc, you know the meme. She's just finished up her cool summer vacation adventure in Dawntrail, so we're kind of on a renewing, healing sort of energy with our travels here. She's used to being a Paladin, aka a tank with some serious defensive capabilities...but I'm happy to say she's mostly adjusted to her new form and its limitations/abilities. Still works very hard not to poison anyone on accident, or push too hard in spars with her fellows (though she can absolutely get carried away if you push certain buttons). Her hobbies include weaving/sewing, enjoying some excellent bread, learning about new sword things, and helping people whosoever they might be. Even if they need you to collect or transport poop.
