New quests are released! Sign-ups will open officially on the 3rd of this month, so until then, here's a plotting post for you all to get your Duckletts in a row! Before we hop right into things, though, here are the tallies from total quest points!

ICly, Rankings will show the points earned of all Pokemon in guilds, including NPC Pokemon not listed here OOCly. We didn't list guild leaders this time, but might in the future for fun. Keep in mind that quests available to player characters are not the entire pool of quests, and that some are likely snatched up before they can get to them regularly, which is how points vary and how some guilds pull ahead even without much player help. However, over time, player points will certainly affect the standing of guilds! Without further ado, here are the characters in ranking order by guild:

We are facing an unprecedented circumstance as numerous Lum Researchers tasked with making contact with a Pokemon known as Decidueye have since gone entirely missing. Our witness and local guide, Chimecho, states that she was leading them through the area beyond the cliffs when they were set upon by a thick, heavy fog, not unlike what recently blanketed our forest region and bay. We have little understanding of what to expect. While Pokemon taking up this quest will be teleported in with the Lum's prototype room, after retrieving the Lum Research team, Pokemon must be prepared to make their own way back to the Bay through unknown and possibly dangerous terrain. Prepare for anything - adaptation will be key.

POINTS REWARDED: 300 points (200 points for failure)
EXTRA REWARDS?: Potential for plot information (if successful), risk of consequence (nothing to ever ruin your time in game).
NOTES: Please use the summary section to fill out how your character will prepare for this quest. Information on what the team will encounter will be presented in their reply. As reaching the mountains beyond the Spire is easier said than done, Spinarak has begun a city project to erect safe stairways and walkways along the cliffside to make it easier for future travellers. Please help them with either constructing, or gathering the necessary materials.

Some of the rescued Minior from last month have been able to make their own way back to the sky, but others still need a little help. We need Pokemon to help construct two large catapults for launching Minior into the upper atmosphere... and others to man the devices when they're constructed! (Alternate methods of launching Minior are also welcome.)

Amnesiac girl who was trapped in a computer with a murderous AI. Because of her amnesia she has no knowledge of her life as a human and thinks that she too is an AI. She has a very basic idea of how living things work and some of it feels familiar.
Her overall thoughts on being a pokemon? She misses her friends but also happy to be here. Though she's a bit too happy to help out without anything in return.

PLANS:

TRAINING - So in series, Aelita is a noncombatant. She does have powers, but she almost always uses them defensively or to buy time. It is now time for her to learn violence! (She knows 3 moves though...)
General things - learning her way around, doing little chores like collecting berries.

Quests
Thinking of only doing the simpler quests cause she has no idea what she's doing.
NOT A MINIOR MATTER - GASP, she must help them, she didn't do too well at dealing with them when they crashed. But she knows physics theory and likes tinkering.
GOING UP - She shall carry... nails or something, cause she's not moving lumber about with her size.
STEEL YOURSELVES - another one she's not strong enough for. Maybe she will be a radio with her antenna or a moving lamp.

HELLO please ignore that I am too tired to change journals oops (for it is 11pm and my pillow is against my head) but I was wondering if you'd want to do anything with Eleanor? Her whole thing is being a Big Sister to a bunch of Little Sisters but all of the kids in the Bay up to this point have not been little girls.

So what I'm saying is I think it'd be cute perhaps? For two weird and offputting girls to be friends?

YES. And by that I mean Aelita only knows 4 people in series and is only close to one girl.

Though Aelita doesn't really know how to be a little girl... Or alive...

It's okay because Eleanor doesn't either. She's definitely getting it figured out because the Bay has given her many gal pals closer to her in age, so if nothing else maybe Eleanor can finally be a proper Big Sister. In spirit at least.

Elly's already taken for Miniors with Jack but everything else is relatively fair game atm.

Though I'm a bit unsure on quests haha.... I've not been in a game with mechanics like this so I'm a bit disorganised on that front.

Don't worry, some other new folks get confused as well. Sort of consider them like prompts. You and another person (at least) submit a little form saying how you think your characters would approach the problem. The mods will respond with a 'quest complete' and say how it went-- they decide if its a pass/fail based on a secret rubric and some chance. You and others are then free to roleplay the scenario out. If you need any NPCs, you can just play those as well in your thread.

You don't have to do a quest with me, I'm just trying to help explain so it isn't as confusing. I might tag in when you put up a log :]
